My shares are my pension.
They're not building any more shares.
People will always want shares.
Shares never go down.
If they keep dropping I'll just buy more.
They're not dropping in Aberdeen.
I can see green shoots.0 -

Where did you get that from?
AirAsia are the latest organisation to have held talks with Manchester United over becoming their next shirt sponsors.
The Premier League club are looking for a replacement for US insurance giant AIG, who have confirmed they will not be renewing their current contract, which expires next year.
Despite the current global economic downturn, United are still quietly confident of agreeing an increase on the present £19million-a-year deal. It was confirmed last month that negotiations had taken place with Indian corporation Sahara, while Saudi Telecom are also believed to be in the running.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Another 12-16 months of falls before the final bull capitulates, FTSE going all the way down to 1400 before there's a bottom. House prices to 2.7x average earnings. £5 for loaf. 3.5M on the dole.0

Lol, but how true that for many my age, shares do constitute some of our pensions and for those, like me, with private pensions it is all a bit scary.0 -

Right, so let me see. A house is going to cost the equivalent of about 13500 loaves of bread (so today a house would only be worth about 15K) and yet the FTSE is going to be at 1400. I'm guessing the yield on bakery shares would have to be close to several hundred percent then....0 -

This article says that those who use the chartist method think the FTSE will drop to somewhere between 2800 and 2300:

I think you're being a bit 'bullish' on unemployment, I reckon it's at that now, if we take out the Brown seasonal adjustment. The rest, I don't think you're far off TBH.0
