If she is going to forget to dial the dial the 1899 prefix get an Orchard Dialer.
Does PrimusSaver2 work with talktalk or do I need to have a BT phone to use primus saver 2
With primus saver 2, am I right in saying all evening and weekend landline calls would be free? If so what would I be paying primus each month ???0 -
You can only use a CPS provider on a line on which you are paying line rental directly to BT.
Primus Saver Option 2 is their no monthly fee, free evening and weekend calls to UK 01/02 numbers CPS package.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

How will Primus Saver 2 make money from me then, by reckoning they will be picking up my tab for my evening and weekend calls.
Does anyone on Primus Saver 2 every have to pay them any money???0 -
They hope to pick up you weekday 01/02 traffic (for which they charge a quite reasonable 2p/minute compared to BT's 3p) and your international and mobile calls.cheggers wrote:How will Primus Saver 2 make money from me then, by reckoning they will be picking up my tab for my evening and weekend calls.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. I don't like dial-throughs. As you get charged as soon as the system takes your call, so you are being charged to dial the destination number, and then charged whilst it rings out or is busy.
When they were 1p/min or 2p/min it was worth taking the risk, but to have that 1p saving blown right out, isn't worth it.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

You'd be mighty crazy to switch to TalkTalk for calls and line rental, it will cost you more, the best option for you is as we have been saying BT line rental, Primus 2 and 1899.
However if you aren't interested in saving money, but spending more, then by all means switch to TalkTalk, but remember - you were warned - warned several times, by several people, so when you find you are paying more, you will only have yourself to blame. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... Going to switch to primus2 saver, seems the logical choice and keep BT for the line rental.
Is the sign up proces for primus saver 2 pretty easy?
Looked at the 1899 website it says I will be charged a 3 p connection fee per call, I thought there day time calls were free?0 -
1899 is 3p per call.
Or as they put it ZERO pence per minute, and a 3p connection charge.
Primus 2, is pretty easy to sign up with, you just call them, and you are answered by a human, though they may forget which company they are working for, they ask for the phone number, and your email address, and payment details, shortly after you get a few emails. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... Yes its easy to sign up just call the 0800 number on their r site, and it usually takes about 14 days for your service to be transferred.
Yes 1899 calls are free but you pay a connection charge of 3p per call .How would they make any money if you paid nowt per call at peak rate.?PF.0
