2 x contracts with T-Mob....advice please
Me and my OH both have contracts with T-Mobile.
One ends in May this year and the other in October this year. (Both on 18 month contracts)
Our money situ is poor at the moment and we were wondering what would happen if we didn't pay our bill? (They bill both contracts as one)
They won't end the contracts as they still have some time to run, but would they close either of them down if we didn't pay, or would they cut us off until we paid then put both phones back on once paid?
Ideally I would want both to be cut off and just to pay what was outstanding.
Any ideas??

If you want to pay off what is outstanding ring them and ask them, you can do this, I wouldn't suggest not paying as you will get a bad mark on your credit file and will be chased for the debt.2p off is still 2p off!0

I think you have misunderstood that bit. I meant ideally they would cut me off for not paying the bill, bill me for what I owe (the months calls and charges etc) and I could then pay that without the phones getting put back on.
My credit is shot to pieces anyway, I don't want to NOT pay, just thinking of a way to get out of the contract without being penilised.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Try contacting them and explaining that you are presently "financially embarrassed." If you're upfront with them, they are perhaps more likely to accept a solution/compromise that you may be happy with.shellnsteve wrote:My credit is shot to pieces anyway, I don't want to NOT pay, just thinking of a way to get out of the contract without being penilised.

Apologies, think I read it to quick! You can pay it up and cancel it no problem, sure other people on T-mob have done this beforeshellnsteve wrote:I think you have misunderstood that bit. can't understand why if you are happy to pay up the rest of the contract you want it to end, just use the minutes and texts within their limits to at least get what you have paid for.
(though with the phrasing of your posts I wonder if you mean you want to pay up your current months charges then walk, in which case you can't get out of it without paying up to May/Oct)0 -
You account will be suspended until you pay the outstanding amount, which means I think you can't make outgoing calls but will be able to receive calls. After another period of time the line will be disconnected
However don't forget while you are in contract every new bill will include more rental, so just because you are not making calls your outstanding amount will not reduce and you will still have to pay all the rental until the time your contract expires.
Once you are in this territory it will also make it very difficult for you to get another contract with any other provider0 -
do NOT walk away from it as you'll be harrassed for ever..
Ring 'em & explain circumstances - they may put a/c on hold until your lottery numbers come up
g' luck0
