Sony ericsson w900 usb cable kills the phone

Just a quick warning for anyone with a sony ericsson w900 or thinking about it.......

My w900 has just got it's second white screen of death since November

I was transferring some movies onto the phone, pulled out the usb lead, and it never restarted, it just stayed with the white screen. Really annoyed!

Vodafone say it has to be sent off to be fixed, and will take 10 days. I could use davinciteam.com again like last time, but that will be another 10 euros, and I have read that they will be bring out new firmware soon, so would rather have the newer version obviously.

So now I am without a phone again!

So just a warning for everyone with a w900, or thinking about getting one. Be careful with the usb lead, it might kill your phone

take it to service center and they should be able to do it same or next day (only needs reflash)
some cpw have onsite service centers
