What nuts/bolts do I need for new alloys?
Hi there,
I have just bought some 17" aftermarket alloys but I am not too sure what nuts/bolts I need. They are BSA Bullets 4 x 108 multifits for a 02 reg ford focus mk1. Do I just need tuner nuts or do I need tuner bolts as well?
Thanks

nice wheels, very similar to the mp3 wheels.
could you post a picture of it when you fit them?
im not to sure which studs you should use, will the original ones not fit? i think the original studs on mine are flat faceson them, not conical. i guess it depends on the kind of holes on the new wheels, are they flat or conical?
when i got wheels for gf's 206 the original studs were flat but the 206 alloys i was fitting were conical so i had to buy new studs for that. got them from ebay....work permit granted!0 -

Alright mate,
Yep, that won't be a prob, as soon as they are fitted I will post some pics up.
I am actually away at the moment so wont be collecting them for a week or so yet but here is a pic of the alloys:
These are multifits so there are 4 extra holes in to make them 4 x 108. These are flat as you can see from the pic. I really dont think the ford oem studs will fit..will they?"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

I have been ringing round a few alloy wheel dealers and finally got through to a company who used to sell these alloys as they are discontinued now. I bought 16 tuner nuts and spigot rings for £35 inc postage.
When I get the alloys and wheels fitted, do they need to be balanced or does my car need to be aligned again? Just had my 4 wheel alignment done at the ford main dealer when the Eibachs were fitted."He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

if the wheels are new then i doubt they will need balancing.
if second hand then you will find out as soon as you drive it,the steering will shudder at certain speeds....work permit granted!0 -

You might need to check the off-set is right, if the wheel isn't right as it is, a spacer can be inserted to achieve the right off-set.0 -

The offset is 100% correct 4 x 108 et40 which is right for the mk1 focus."He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

What colour did you paint the calipers? Did you get the mintex brakes?"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

just a gloss black high temperature paint, it looks more of a matt finish though when its dried, got it from halfords using the trade card, was £4 or £5 and cheap paint brush set from the poundshop.
yes fitted the mintex brakes,im becoming very quick at doing them, under an hour had them changed and painted....work permit granted!0
