i had the same thing happen to me with some tesco cat food pouches. i couldn't be bothered to take it back because it absolutely smelt awful. i just threw the offending pouch away sealed in a bag and checked the other pouches, and they were finespanky xx

I bought the same felix multi packs - one pouch was open and really smelt rather bad. Must be an issue on the packing.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

It happens, it's happened while I've been working on a couple of occasions, usually due to one of them bursting. They gave you a voucher when they didn't have to, what more do you want?"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

oh for gods sakes!
its an easy thing to happen to meat in a packet. it can split/burst/puncture. NO BIG DEAL. take it back, get a refund or replacement. can happen to ANY type of packaged food. how were they to know the box was full of maggots?!
as for bleaching your kitchen thats OVER DRAMATIC!!!! unless u decided to pour the maggots all around. so im guessin thats a lie.
then again as ur a self confessed journalist... hmm...
pressin for more compo is unnecessary, u got a refund/replacement and a giftcard. u really need to get over yourself and stop tryna claim hundreds of pounds over split packet of meat.0 -
You didn't notice the box was punctured until you got all the way home, why do you assume the staff at Asda should have noticed on the short journey from stockroom to shelf?0
