Hope you are all well and happy. The snow arrived last night and was really heavy but the sun is out now and most of it's gone, more snow thur, Fri  .

The ceiling is now down and the new stuff up. It's getting plastered tonight, so more mess on the cards. HRH PPP slept through it all and the only place (apart from the hall) to get into a mess was the kitchen due to coffee breaks. My cousin decided while taking the ceiling down that he agrees with me and not OH that the wallpaper out there is a mess so he started stripping it saying he needed it off to fix the ceiling :j . He's given himself more work though as now he needs to skim them too (not tonight though!) AND I told him a hate the big cupboard at the top of the stairs so that's going AND he's going to fit the pipes for the WM to go into the cupboard at the door! That means that I will have a totally empty landing upstairs:j Are you pround of me Pigpen ?????????:j Happy days, well apart from the mess it's all going to make

I'm going to leave the true list for today and just do my kitchen instead, my damp cloth is at the ready, and then I'll play catch up.

Toots I can't get a window cleaner as it's above the health and saftey height plus the biggest ladder the guys round here have only comes to the bottom of my window ledge and they would have to stand on the ledge to wash:eek: Oh! should have said that's the livingroom window the boys is on the next floor:eek: I've never heard of the repellant stuff I must try that sounds good.:cool2:

Welcome to the thread Freedom! Glad it's given you the incentive to get flying! We're (mostly!!) a friendly bunch on here so hope you feel at home!

I've been a bit peed of this week. I'm finding it hard to work and keep the house looking good - i've gone back to feeling as knackered as I was in the early days, not good. Anyway, I gave myself a good talking to this morning and i'm raring to go. I won't clear up everyone elses mess - i'll just go back to putting it in their own rooms (DH is the worst!!). So, my living room is tidy and his study isn't - not my fault:rotfl: .

    It's amazing what a 60 in 60 can do!

Just popping in to say Hi :D

No flying done as in the list as yet - might try the living room later depending how I feel after physio

However...I have filed over half my sorted out paperwork! :j :j :j :j It has been stacked up in drawers after I sorted it all out for filing about 3 weeks ago. It has taken me ages to do and now it is neatly put into separate folders for everything.

I am so happy I have done this:j Just the bank and cc statements to finish off now, the smallest pile left to do now in a long long time. This is 8yrs worth of paperwork all opened and filed now. I can't believe I have done this at last:j It used to be in carrier bags hidden away in the clutter in the spare room.

Thanks to the flyladies I have sorted the spare room out :D still some to do but more than half way there. Just 3 desk drawers to finish sorting, then dismantle on wardrobe, go through books to sell/charity shop, ebay spare furniture then can clear to decorate(renovate more like!)

I couldn't have got to this point without this thread and the forum in general making me face up to things

A GREAT BIG HUG TO YOU ALL!

I'm amazed at how quickly the little things can be done! I have done LOADS today which I would normally say "haven't got time for" and in reality its only taken 5 minutes. Think I'm going to love Flylady! :)

lil_me thats absolutely fantastic - well done you - what a difference that will make to the people that need the help- you deserve a medal for your hard work on these committees.
xx_Jo_xx yes I rather think you are trying to do too much and therefore getting disappointed when you dont achieve it - baby steps remember - build up gradually to doing all the list OR do the list and aim to do at least 1 thing from your own - not everything on both!!!!!
funfairprincess -great news about the work getting done - will be worth the mess to get it all sorted.
freedom2b I hope you will join us and find the lists helpful - will send you a pm shortly.
Diva continued thought and prayers for you and Tristan

hugs to all the poorlies and those of you feeling down and congratulations to those attacking ironing and washing mountains:rolleyes:

  • Can i ask what some of you ladies recommend for glass and mirrors please. I thought i was being helpful and cleaned the inside car windows for husband but they are so streaky. I need to go over them with something. I used some glass wipes but i seem to have made them 10x worse than what they were before.
