Can anyone help? I've just bought some stuff on ebay and have had an email off the seller asking to pay the money into another email address??? Is it just me or does that sound funny ????????????

Is the other mail address verified?? but yes it does sound a little dodgy.
Pop over to the Ebay thread and see what they have to say xx

  • that sounds a bit strange -funfairprincess - if you are paying by paypal it should go straight to his registered paypal addy there and you would therefore be covered by paypal if anything went wrong

That's what I thought. He (might be she) says that they can't access the one linked to their ebay account which worries me slightly as paypal may have blocked it. i just emailed back and said I would phone ebay customer services in the morning and if they say OK then I'll do it ,if not no payment but then they could file a NPB against me. Angry as I really want the asparagus crowns and I'm bidding on a gooseberry bush from the same seller.

Quillion I didn't know we had an ebay thread !! Happy days

Toots - I hope you're not planning on staying up all night just to get to the third post. We can live with it being somewhere different for a week if necessary!

I don't think I'll get much flying done at the beginning of the week, as with my dad here there isn't much opportunity. And I won't get to yoga either, although he's out on Wednesday evening (going out for supper at the pub with my brother), so I might manage Pilates and a quick whizz round with the hoover then to stop it getting too unpleasant before the weekend! :D

We managed to get the utility room sink & worksurface sorted out today, so that's the first job done. He's going to sort out the ceiling (it's been glued up, and it didn't work very well) tomorrow - I think he's going to build a supporting frame over the top of what's there, and insulate above the boiler pipes (for some reason this bit was missed out... I'd have thought it was the most important bit to do  ). He's also going to put some netting over the airbrick in the attic, put some wire netting across the end of the garden where my neighbour has decided only to fence a third of the way across the bottom of their garden, so there's a gap between the side boundary and the end  ), and hopefully get the floor sorted out. So in less than a week he may well have fixed all the things the builder c*cked up, and dealt with a few other bits and pieces too.

So clearly, I have to be nice to him, even if he gets irritating while I'm trying to work! I'm very lucky to have someone to come and help me out.

I'm tired now, so off to do my exercises while boiling kettles for my hot water bottles. See you all tomorrow!

yes i will wait for w hile - i am getting myself organised in between checking - sorry its the perfectionist in me!!!! BUT ....... i have given up on the jokes - I only had about 30+ more too do but they all needed sorting out first so I deleted the lot and now only have what comes in to do so my inbox is looking a lot better - there's still others to be read and dealt with but nothing that needs to be forwarded IYSWIM>
