Sorry JulieJ, it's funny, I thought about you on the way home. Next time there's a comp, I'll leave the children at the comp, and come and have a cuppa with you!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

It's a deal - DH's work is about 2 mins from there and we live about 10 - 15 mins away. I could have come and watched!

  • SS- Here is a link re the police check (I think this is it)http://www.disclosurescotland.co.uk/news.htm

This is who I had to deal with with my last job :( Hope it gets done quickly for you.

They are a pain in the rear. I had to get a police check done when I was on the committee at the playschool and when mine moved up to the nursery I had to have another more indepth(???) one done and then I needed another one to help at the school, why they don't just have one check suits all I will never know it's such a pain, needed but a pain!

Greenbee soooooooooooooooooo envious about your airer. I nearly bought one the last time I was in Lakeland but decided that I would be best keeping my money in my purse. boy I hate that shop it keeps taking my money off me!

    Evening all :hello:

I've had a relatively productive day ... beds changed, both bathed, all the washing & ironing is done, but even better is that I've also done all the sewing repairs :D So DD now has another dressing gown (she'll take it to Ex's when she next stays so its one less thing she needs to pack each time ;)), another school skirt (which might actually be too small by now :o ), an other poloneck top and three pairs of gloves :o:rotfl::rotfl: I also found a coat of mine I forgot I had :o

Oh well, tomorrow is another day... and I'm going to go to bed soon, just going to finish watching this episode of Buffy. I'll get my stuff ready for tomorrow while I'm at it as I need to go and pick up a parcel and I was hoping to spend tomorrow working in school on my paperwork:rolleyes:

Night all...unless I stick around on facebook for a bit....:rotfl:

DD has used the 'gift' you sent her today - last time she was fine:confused:
and has asked me to pass on her thanks...all still a bit random though - but we have synchronised this time! Don't you just feel for DS with two of us 'tetchy'. :rotfl:

re the police checks - every organisation has to have their own - so I had one for work, paid for by work, and one for scouts, paid for by scouts - and they had loads of us there who all had 'education' checks they couldn't use - cost them a fortune. Multiply that round the country...it's ridiculous, it really is!

Ooh think I ought to share/boast - I did NOT have any wine last night - almost unheard of for a saturday so very pleased with myself!

that sounds a bit strange -funfairprincess - if you are paying by paypal it should go straight to his registered paypal addy there and you would therefore be covered by paypal if anything went wrong
