Oh my god. It gets worse. Is this you, from the Robert Sterling website:
"Arwel has assisted the government with the Home Information Packs initiative playing a leading role in the development of the scheme as a member of the Housing Strategy Forum. He is a regular contributor to the media writing articles for the national and trade press and appearing on national television and radio."
You helped to bring the dreaded HIPs out. What a fool you must feel.0 -
It may not be you who give the Mortgage Advice, but this bit from your Financial Services department is a rip off!
"WE NORMALLY CHARGE NO FEES ALTHOUGH DEPENDING ON YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES
A FEE OF UP TO 1.5% OF THE MORTGAGE AMOUNT MAY BE CHARGED"
And I notice you are Estate Agents as well. How many massive bites of the Cherry do you want to take?0 -
What makes one an expert witness in a financial court case?

Surely it's up to the lender whether they will treat them as a First Time Buyer. Your opinion matters not one jot.
The lender does not want to know whether or not the OP is a first time buyer.
They are interested in his/her credit worthiness.
It is the Estate Agent who wants to know and he is the one who said he was a FTB in the first place................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -

Where do they say they are a first time buyer? This is what I read:
"I was asked the other day by an EA if I was a FTB - well technically no I'm not, but I dont currently have a mortgage or own a home - he said I was considered a FTB, but I noticed that the Halifax difinition of FTB says that you must never have owned/had a mortgage on a property, which I have".0
