Re:Designer Flashing Multicoloured LED Cat/Dog Collars
I have seen these on Ebay USA https://www.ebay.com they are fairly light weight but the seller wants $28.00 Usd for shipping to UK very expensive considering the item comes inclusive of US shipping for $9.00 Us dollars
Item number: 360134541266
LED Flashing Lights Fancy Cat & Dog Fashion Collars Sm.
Has anyone seen anything for sale like this in UK?

Ask your vet. We sell them at the surgery and they are available from at least one major vet wholesaler. We have a variety of sizes of flashing collars from £10 to £14 and I use one on my dog. We can get flashing leads and some very nifty collar tags that only light up after dark and only then when the dog is moving.0

You can get lights flashing or otherwise on Ebay that fit on the collar. We got one for about three quid (inculding postage) and in the pitch black it looks like your walking a police car. You can also get more stuble ones. They are really great for keeping tabs on your dog in the dark and also warning other people you have a dog.0

The batteries on these flashing multicoloured collars lasts only 72 hours
so you will need a stack of batteries no button cell recharger that I know of has been invented yet

Generally speaking your local Vet's is the last place one would go for an item like this because they know how to charge.
Has anyone seen these in Petsmart or Petsco UK equivalent store?
Whats the leading Petstores in the UK?
Thanks

Lots of online sellers have these in the UK - we used to have flashing led collars but OH got worried that it could give the boys an epileptic fit
The little lights that you can dangle on their collars flash madly too but have a habit of falling off and being lost.
Online, just google for flashing collar - for example

Try http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.5704
based in hong kong but free postage to uk
I have used this site for about 2 years and never had a problem0 -
I use the flashing armbands for cyclists, got them in Tescos for £2.49 (I think) they are adjustable size with velcro fastening and the batteries have lasted all year. They go small enough to fit my JRTs and just about go around the rotties neck but you could extend them with thick elastc I suppose? for the "larger" dog. I can also confirm that you can see the dogs at quite a distance in the dark
I have about 10 of them:o I wear them on my arm and ankle when I'm riding and put them on the trap when I'm driving - not that I do either of those in the dark I hasten to add!

This is quite a good idea too, you just put it over their heads. Wonder if they stay on ok though?
