    Hello all
Well, a bootsing we did go. Set off this morning and headed to Grt Yarmouth, Boots in the town first - had some bits and bobs price checked -
    No putting sets
Mens Loreal anti fat bags sel at £18** - still full price
Botanics mini facials sel at £1.8* - 2 left as I did not need anymore
No7 Hand saviour still full price
No7 Foot balm still full price
Sanctuary mini travel sets - full price still - but in a diffrent bag, same style packaging
New green and brown Olay GWP out on display, no guards, and plenty of £5.86 cleanser nearby
No7 Stay perfect foundation reduced bottle and compact

Could not spot anymore bargains as I scanned the shelves and the clearance shelves in the far corner on the arcade/walk side were pretty dismal :o

Great Yarmouth Gapton Hall shopping centre:-
    No putting sets
Mens Loreal fat bags still full price - price checked
Sanctuary mini travel sets - reducecd to £1.72 on sel - but no stock.
    Managed to get 2 mags
Could'nt even find a clearance shelf
New Olay gwp available - plenty of cleanser but round the other side of the display

But treated the pressie box to a soap and glory mobile foam for £9.79 - earnt a perkie. It's in alovely pink canvas bag - very nice and you can't get them around our normal haunts :D

    Gorleston -
    :rolleyes::o:rolleyes:

    Lowestoft:-
Walked in just as a sa man was putting out reduced med toiletries on one of the clearance stands at the front of the store. Not my thing so left it - but lots there between £1.22 and £2.22. My eyes were drawn to the bright cluster of orange, could it be, the sought after sanctuary mini travels sets - reduced. Yes, but noooooo - only £3.42 rather than the much 'nicer £1.72' that other peeps have managed to grab them for. Oh well, I thought grabbed 2 and pondered ...wonder if I could get 3 and take it over a £10 spend to get the lovely GWP. Also managed to get another mini botanics facial set, it was there so I could'nt not. They had 3 left on the bottom shelf. Mens loreal fat bags were still full price. Had a nice chat to the No7 lady, who was really nice and jolly. She scanned the hand saviour and foot balm which were still full price. Chatted about the new vouchers and if accessories would go through from the old packaging and she said if I would like to try she'd scan and see - but I did not have time. No putting sets out.
New Olay gwp out on display - no guards - plenty of £5.86 cleanser nearby. No7 Stay perfect foundation, bottle and compact both wih reduced sels. Quite a few reduced exfo etc on a stand near the front - can get with perkie. The old black and gold bag gwp (compact and brush) on sale for £6.50 a couple of No7 small pallettes that I've not seen before for £9.**. Loads of the new pink gwp scattered all around and same with the mens gwp.

so I managed to get 3 x Sanc mini sets, 1 Sanctuary GWP and 1 mini bots fac/pamp set. And all the stores ACM's still gave me the pts on a spend and no vouchers

When we got home we sat down to have a cuppa, looked out the window to find the hedge was making a statement.... www. boots. com was staring back at me.
Yay, no7gwp, eyeshadow brush and 2 admit you want me's. Santuary glitch is still processing at the mo, but I live in hope.

Popped in on my way home (would be rude not to as have to pass it to get the bus lol). No clearance on the ground floor and did not have time to check upstairs. Saw the Sanctuary set but still full price. A few No7 foundations left at reduced price. No reduced SEL that I could see. All in all .................................rubbish!

I find this store really poor for bargains.Even when everyone is posting about a good reduction this store has it full price or does not have any at all!
I remember several years BB (before Bootsing) I used to travel to work with a Boots SA and she had a houseful of Boots stuff and would take 2 cars to the 75% day. I just wonder if the staff get first pick of the good reductions and so they don't make it to the shop floor!

Apologies for the negative post ....I am sure grabbit purists would ban this post because it is a non- grabbit!

BTW I hope the refugeegate posts are now at an end and we can carry on as before on here. In my experience posters on here usually self- regulate when they drift off topic and are soon back to tales of the shopping trips!

I went to the Bridgwater Boots on Saturday (not my normal store). Managed to get a Samsonite camera case for £2.00, I also got Boots Holiday Glow Body Lotion x 2 and Holiday Glow Facial Moisturiser for 30p each. There was only one camera case left but plenty of the Holiday Glow stuff. They also had the Stay Perfect foundation compacts and liquids reduced. I don't think there is anyone on the thread from my area but thought I would post just in case.

DH and I will be visiting Southampton next weekend so I will be busy checking out all the stores in the area for bargains. Good job he actually likes going Bootsing with me.
    :j

:hello: :hello: :hello: im from near bridgewater so thanks for the heads up, i tried to get the sp compact at taunton today but no joy.

they did have some of the nc body polishers for 61p though.
In the end, we decide if we're remembered for what happened to us or for what we did with it ;)

Wow! Well done! I will have to go back at the weekend with my receipt and have a bit of a grumble :rotfl:

I have a score to settle with the 'not so lovely No7 SA' in there too.

The previous week, I had been needing a new foundation, and had spoken to a different SA, telling her how I have such difficulty trying to get a foundation to match my skintone as I am so pale. She recommended a product, stuck it in my basket- and grabbed the basket from me  (I wasn't finished my shopping, but I didn't want to be rude)

Anyways, when I got home, I realised the tube had already been opened and it was a bit 'gunky' around the top. I cleaned it up a bit and put a little bit on my cheek (too dark) I had to really squeeze though as it was nearly empty!

On Saturday, I took it along with my receipt and explained the situation. A Dragon (whom I have never seen before) told me that "they were not obliged to exchange anything- and that it was against the rules to return anything 'liquid'"

"Oh" I told her, "But you see, I'm trying to exchange it as it looks as though I may have been sold the tester by accident"
"Tough luck there" she told me "Can you prove it?"

I was a bit baffled standing there with a near-empty tube of foundation and my receipt. I tried to explain that there was no way I could have got through nearly a whole tube in less than a week, and that if she didn't want to exchange or refund it- could she please speak to CS to see what they would recommend, to which I was told "I don't have time for this" and she walked off on me!

Now I don't know what to do as I have a nearly-empty, used-by-goodness-knows-who tube of foundation- which doesn't suit my colouring anyway.

Any advice would be appreciated from my enlightened and Dragon-experienced Bootsers
