Gone to Sweeny's mum :-)MSE GBBO 2015 - Go Alvin!0 -
Hi everyone. I was feeling very down this morning so decided to take myself off to my local for a bit of retail therapy. I've come home feeling even more deflated!! there was nothing much to report. Most of the clearance has been there for the last couple of weeks and is getting tired and yukky looking (and still expensive!)
I bought some no7 to get the gwp, mainly for the 250pts voucher, and there was none in it so I'm really peeved and will probably contact cs as I had an out of date voucher last week too, it doesn't seem fair:mad:
I was just thinking about how much money I've spent in Boots lately and feel even more depressed thinking about it. The only bright spark today was finally getting a free Estee Lauder sample (from voucher with Glamour mag) and a free Lancome foundation sample (voucher from Marie Claire I think)
I hope you've all had a better day & sorry for the downer.........Started SW 11.1.11

One of the doors was open as it was really warm and sunny, so I managed to have a little peek inside. There were staff there, as well as the shop fitters. The tills are in and being set up, the shelves and stands are all erected, and there are trolleys and cages full of products ready to be set out. I couldn't see if there were any SS tills, but if there are, I'd imagine they will be in the front right corner, next to the tills.
For East Midlands Bootsers, the store looks to be roughly the same size (maybe a tad smaller) and layout as the Riverside and Wyvern stores.
I still haven't been able to find anyone at CS who can tell me when its going to open, but from the looks of things this morning, it could be in the next week or so.
And theres a Starbucks there too
Hi Ballet shoes, i have been googling the store and i think the store will be opening on or around sat 28th march, as a local radio station are running a competition and the rules state you should be at the store on this date. hth:T0 -
Popped out today & went to Epsom store - absolutely rubbish - sorry Sandrascarlett don't want to spoil your plans for Weds but there really was nothing worth having! here! ..[/quote]
How can you say that Popkins!!! It's always fun going to a new place - and I've never been to Epsom. There'll be the thrill of sharing a reduced price coffee using our Bite Me card at Waterloo, :T then the train journey, free, then Epsom itself.
Wandering hither & thither, a different Boots ...... a different M & S .........a 2 for 1 meal, free Starbucks after 2, and then the ride home! At my age, that's not only a Cheap Day Out, but a fun day out! :j
I shall use all my Perkies on No 7 Sumptious Bath, cos everyone loves them, and they're a bargain at £2.02!! Alas, I have so many friends poorly at the mo, and it's so nice to be able to make up a goody bag as a cheer-up gift for next to nowt.
Yes, I always remove the mascara & hair products from GWPs if the friend is having chemo, the No 7 man's thingy from the GWP if they're widowed, check that they're not allergic to any products etc. I would just hate to make them feel worse by giving something that they cannot use.
Off to Bournemouth next week so would like any info about Bournemouth & Boscombe Boots please!!

Only had a mad dash rubes, so probably left loads lol. Btw, there's heaps of those Vichy things, and the Vichy Rosay (??) and Olay green box gwp too. Didn't get any btw. Some CW mini serums for 98p, and some flip-flops. Nearly bought some of those for you :rotfl: (Still doing the 'mental tour' in my head)Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0 -

ooooh sorry Sandrascarlett!! TBH I really like Epsom for shopping - they've got a Wilkos & a TK Mx which are both good - it was just the MrBs today that was getting me down!! You'll have a lovely day I'm sure and if you're going after the Sumptious Bath then you'll be happy as Larry (whoever he is!!!) Its funny cos you've got me slightly hooked on that now too (not that I've used it yet!! LOL!! as my darling hubby has got the bath filled with all his mountain biking gear!!!) it smells divine though & looking forward to using it!!
Anyways, with your luck they'll probably put out some new clearance items this week & you'll have a super bootsing trip - thats what I'm hoping for you anyway!!
