Please could someone clarify the perkies and reduced No.7.
If they just have a sticker with a reduced price on then will they work with a perkie?
Have seen lots of stickered items for £1 and £2, but not sure if they would work with a perkie.
Many thanks.
Sa willing they will work with a perkie. The problem occurs when the sa will not accept it (the back of voucher says it cant be used on reduced lines I think), but they will go through the tills ok.now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it0 -
Sent my husband off to work this morning with a perkie and instuructions on how to get No7 stay perfect and a compact and what to do in the different price scenarios
Anyway he just phoned and said that the Stay Perfect scanned at £3.50 and the compact at £3.18 but as he was waiting to pay an SA walked past and said they have to be overridden to £7 each. The SA serving him duly went off to speak to a manger who said that they were to be sold at the price scanned (who knows how long it will last though)
Result-two for £1 odds and a husband in the good books
This was in Sauchiehall store, so go get them girls (and if you see a confused man wandering around, please be nice to him)
edit: Reading backwards (as usual!) what a moving poem passion8, someone once wrote "Youth is wasted on the young" and the older i get, the more i realise what they meant!0 -

They will work with a perkie if the SA scans both the clearance sticker and the original barcode on the product - thats exactly what the SA's in my local do with clearance items, and the perkies go through with no beeps whatsoever.0 -

just popped into the Swindon store in my lunch break. No.7 stay perfect compacts are still scanning at £3.18 each. I didn't pay at the no.7 counter - I wasn't feeling brave enough to try!! SA mentioned about not being able to sell some no.7 yesterday due to the price being wrong, but she let me have 2 compacts and use a perkie. :j
Also interdental brushes are 2 pack for £5, I'd been meaning to pick some of these up for a while (have a dentist appt. in a couple of weeks!) as the ones the dentist suggested last time were too big!

Ah Passion8, thank you. We used to have that poem on the wall in the ward office when I was nursing, it's very thought provoking isn't it.
We also had a card from a lady in her 80's who used to tell us how fab it was to be older and not feel bound by the responsibilities she had in her youth. Inside she had written this poem, it's by Jenny Joseph
When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple
with a red hat that doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
and satin candles, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I am tired
and gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
and run my stick along the public railings
and make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
and pick the flowers in other people's gardens
and learn to spit.
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
and eat three pounds of sausages at a go
or only bread and pickles for a week
and hoard pens and pencils and beer nuts and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
and pay our rent and not swear in the street
and set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.0 -

I can confirm that the No7 Stay Perfect Compact scanned at £3.18.
AM, in case you pop over to Runcorn - or anyone else- lots of Olay Total Effect Daily Moisturiser reduced to £5, down from £16.63.
Plenty of mags too, but you can only take 1, the SA's insist on only 1:rolleyes:Thanks managed to get a couple:rolleyes: Wonder if the SA yesterday who said they had message from head office was not teling the full story?
I had hoped that buying this and other stuff the remaining after the £5 No7 would be taken offthe rest of my shopping:o ( I am sure I read that this as happening..but I could have imagined it:rolleyes: )
Anyway got N07 foundation , S & G clean on me and Extracts mini, used 2 x 150 points coupons, purkie and £2 off S&G o paid £2.88 ~ 300points back did this twice ( would have been better if the rest of No7 had come off the shoping though !)
Won't make it to runcorn..where are the wrinklies when you need them, then again they probably wouldn't let you use one anyway ! I've had the same in there with the mags xThis is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.Robert M. Hutchins0
