My son has a Property being built in Budapest and 25% down the remainder wil need to be mortgaged from early 2010. Although he is likely to be employed at this time he will not necessarily have more than a years employment history and to a degree this will be on a self employed/fixed contract basis. We will, have to, I believe, stand as guarantors for a mortgage. Where would we start to look? Any advice?

Are you saying your Son has committed to buy a property abroad but does not know how to pay for it? Is he currently a student, so not employed?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

He no longer a student but yes he has made 25% payment on an off plan build. As for paying a morgage will be the way of course but where to apply and what kind? A year to plan at least but advice sought. It pays to challenge0 -
UK banks won't, as far as I aware, lend money secured on a property outside of the UK. Perhaps somebody will be along soon to prove me wrong."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

cant you remortgage your property then get a solicitor to draw up a contract between you and him to enable him to pay you back the amount that you have remortgaged, same interest rate and every thing0
