    Hi there peeps, Sheba here :hello: reporting (late- sorry, but my excuse is the sun shone:j so had to take advantage and tidy up garden) on last weeks figures and making this weeks pledge;
    so... having said I wanted to spend £10 I spent £30.12:eek: , however this is down to me being stupid really- I pledged £10 knowing full well I was on to spend more as I needed groceries etc- which is what it all went on- no fripparies at all.

    so... this week I have meal planned and set aside the £15 for lunch with 'Mava' (my turn this week) and so pledge to spend no more than £10 on milk and bread for the week, some foil, margarine and satsumas.

    For the first time in the 3 weeks I've been signed up to the challenge I actually think I could do this amount as I have forward-thought a little more. Good thing about the past two weeks though, is that even though I over budget (as my budget was unrealistic for what I needed each week) being signed on to this challenge definately stopped me spending more and on silly nonsense- so it definately has had a good effect on me and is helping me to forward plan more so YAY Weekly Spend Challenge thread and all who sail in her :beer: .

    Off to do chores and fetch milk now (and NO, NONE, NADA cadburys creme eggs- not good for purse or diet, although tichy as they are now, they couldn't possibly contain any calories could they??:D )

    Have a great day/week y'all and remeber, keep that purse CLOSED!!!:rotfl:

    Sheba
  • £10 for me again this week. Kind of lost track a little last week as got given some money back and put it in my purse and it all got confusing. Only going to keep my £10 in my purse and make sure I dont add anything to it.

    Howdy

    Ok so my NSD turned into a spend day sadly. I spent £5.10 on fruit for work but I think I am going to take this out of food budget. Then £2.67 on toiletries but that is budgeted elsewhere. So a spend day but nothing from my weekly one so all in all, not too bad.

    Sheba I think most people find that when they start as you are not sure how much to pledge. I'm sure this week will be your week. I am now fantasiing about creme eggs (I am chocolate-free for Lent)

    Hi All

    I've spent £3 today, which should set me up for the week I think, as it was supplies of chocolate ;) (£1 for 4 bars!!) and 8 cans of Pepsi for £2 from Lidls (that's one a day, by the way, so will have some for next week too).

    I don't think I'm going to need to spend anything else this week...fingers crossed!

    Well, yesterday I spent around £11 on grocery top ups - but it did include my muesli (which isn't cheap, but I'm fussy) and olive oil... This means I don't have much left for this week - not sure how much I haven't got left though... need to count!

    Am toying with the idea of buying either a slow cooker or a little bolero jacket to go with the dress I'm wearing to a wedding on Friday. Don't know what to do... Slow cooker could wait until I get paid at the end of the month when I get my next pub wage, but do I REALLY need the bolero jacket? (Though I do have a £5 voucher for monsoon.... help?)

    btw - today was a nsd! :T
    Natwest CC - [STRIKE]£2545[/STRIKE] now £0 :j
    Overdraft - £2668 :eek:- to be cleared by February 2010

    Wedding - 11 September 2010:love:
