If she's in the UK then the charge to her should be the same nomatter where he is. If she has internet access from a PC, there are a number of sites where you can send at least some free texts. Otherwise get her a tariff with a number of bundled texts0

Sorry to be rude about this, but you've started 4 threads about this now.
If 2p a message isn't cheap enough, then perhaps you need another solution0 -
where 2p to txt to abroad? how?0

On the other thread - see https://www.smsbug.com
- depending on your tariff, the network may charge for wap/gprs use
Other people suggested free ones from websites etc0 -

I haven't tried it, but seen it recommended several times, and nothing negative said.
You can register your phone on the O2 website, even a non-customer, and get some free texts, but I don't know if it is once or per month0 -

Its lets you send text at normal rate which is 12p on contract 10p on payg. It's 2.99 extra if you're on anything less than 30pound a month on contract. Not sure how much it is on payg though.0

Just back from Hong Kong. Using a Tesco sim in UK to a Tesco sim in Hong Kong costs 5p to one of your 3 'favourites'. Not to Tesco 'Value' sim though which cannot be used abroad. Should be the same price to Germany.0
