How to end a contract?

My 3 12-month contract finished in December 05. I would like to end it as I won't get anymore cashback. I bought it from Carphonewarehouse. What should I do to end the contract? I heard we have to do it in writing. Where should I send it to? Carphonewarehouse or 3??

You should send your cancellation notice in writing to 3.

On the contract or check on their website where to send the notice.

It will be cancelled 30 days from when they receive the letter.

You can phone 3 and cancel it. However, if you do this you should take the name of the person that you speak to, make a note of the date and time of the call. Call again a couple of days later to check that it is in fact cancelled.

Give them a call, if you are happy with the service from 3 then ask them what upgrade offers are on at the moment. I was on £2.99 a month for 12 months with 3 through CPW, called to end contract because knew I wouldn't get that deal again. They offered me the 6280 for £18 a month after cashbacks!!!
