Hotel stay in London in April

Hi All,

I need to stay in London for 5 nights in April (20th-25) and cant find a cheap one anywhere! By cheap I mean as far under £200 as possible.

Anyone have any tips? I have tried the usual suspects, Lastminute etc but still coming up short.

Not sure to book early or last minute for deals but have to go so don't want to leave it to the last mnte and miss out.

Help!!!

please.

£200 for all 5 nights or each night?
Which areas on the outskirts would you consider?

200 total is my ABSOLUTE limit.

i really need it to be under that though. I would like private facilities so not hostels but not too bothered about what board it is.

Location-wise, I am easy but ideally no more than 45 mins from Spitalfields via public transport.

Thanks for moving the topic. I werent sure which one it belonged in and chose wrongly!!

The cheapest I can find is the Park Royal travelodge at £151 for the 5 nights you want currently. It is 5 mins away from the Park royal tube and you would need to travel to Hoburn change onto the circle line to Liverpool Street for Spitalfields_about a 40 min journey. It is beside a petrol station for snacks and opposite a leisure complex with a chinese buffet, pizza hut, nandos, kfc, chiquitos. You need to book each night separately and email to link to get his rate. It would be about £5 a day in fares if using Oyster peak times.

Travel lodge are having a £19 room sale this Thursday at 6am, but London hotels go very quickly and are limited. The site is difficult to get on and often crashes. There is a Liverpool street Travelodge but currently £284 for the nights you want. Like you say you could gamble and may save money, but then you could be left paying a lot more if rooms get booked up.

This can be done...but a little more easily if you are prepared to switch hotels for part of your stay.

The Travelodge Aldgate East (formerly Comfort Inn London Tower) is close to Tower Bridge so within walking distance of Spitalfields. It's available on a prepaid non-refundable basis for £39 on the 20th and 23rd and £32 on the 24th = £110. So that would leave you with £90 for the 21st and 22nd.
The Aldgate East is still available for those nights but at £52 per night, but you would be saving that £14 extra on commuting costs.

You can get the Croydon Court from Hotelopia via Quidco (10%) for around £150 using a discount code (10% code on discount codes forum).

    Hotel - £187
10% discount code brings it to £168.30....
.......and Quidco 10% brings it to £151.47

You do have to wait for your Quidco money though.
