  • Morning all,

Still doing fairly well, hoping to stay on target this month! I am going to go through the cupboards today and do an inventory to see what we have and come up with more storecupboard recipes as i'm sure there's loads in there we could be eating up! I have a tesco delivery arranged for tomorrow night which should see us through for at least another week, with enough money left over to get us through our last week of the challenge...:j

Or at least that's the plan....

Egon:- Try cutting up bits of hard cheese into bone shapes, or dinosaur shapes.
Ham cut into shapes or salami (if your catering for those to eat halal)
Try making to some veggie burgers / sausages and making them into dinosaur shapes
Make nests by mixing up weetabix and melted chocolate up together. Leave in fridge till set and place a couple of mini chocolate eggs on top to look like dinosaur eggs.
In Iceland they sell turkey dinosaur shapes.
Pizza:- could make up toppings that look like monsters / dinosaurs, i did this this on Halloween and the lids loved it.
Make some biscuits in the shape of dinosaurs with a cookie cutters

    HTH.

Well four NSD :rotfl:well chuffed with myself. Last night i made the boys four individual jelly pots for they pack lunches this week. Not bad a packet for a jelly for 7p got 4 portions out of it as well whoo hoo! defrosted 2 pitta breads with ham and cheese, spples and raisins and diluted juice. SO prob only cost me about 20p if thats for kids dinners!

So just have to make to muffins and bread today, then hopefully another NSD for me.

Meal Plan this week:- (lets hope the meat defrosts in time)
Beef Goulash (makes at least two meals)
    Pork kebabs, curry and rice
    Left over curry
    Omellete & salad
HM Pizza and wedges or soup

No idea for weekend yet as i might have an extra mouth to feed.

    Morning all!

I managed to pop back to Mr Ts yesterday when the urge to bake struck and managed to spend another £5 - I did pick up 2 easter eggs as treats for me and OH but put them back before the check out. We don't need them AND cookies/cakes!

I have decided to start on my pre wedding diet today too after feeling flabby all weekend (probably something to do with boozing on Saturday night with friends to celebrate the engagement). There's only about 6 months to the wedding so I should get going on it now really - a stone is the minmium I'm aiming for but would prefer at least 20 lbs gone by the big day. It's certainly do-able but its a matter of doing it!

I'm a Slimming World person mainly becaise I'm veggie and its much easier to diet with their green/red day scheme for me - BUT that does mean that the whole meal plan for this week has to be re-done. I'll try and use up things that I have until the next big shop day on Saturday/Sunday.

Right off to dream up meals that are diet friendly using what we already have - hmmmmm!:p

    Hi everyone

I hope its not too late to join again this month. I missed a couple of weeks and have fallen into really bad habits. So if its OK I'm going to try for £40 per week for the 2 of us and hopefully manage on less.

    Thanks
    Good luck to everyone

    Morning all.
Well we have completely abandoned counting the annual budget....its just to much of a faff just now with other stuff going on :confused: !
My attempts at GC will be limited to withdrawing the weekly food cash and making sure I make it last the week, meal planning (subject to change due to whoopsies!), and keeping an eye out for whoopsied stuff....I will be happy with that ;) !
Spent £40 odd in Tesco yesterday :(, stocking up on more Pampers (on offer) and also some whoopsies like bread, cod loins etc so freezer nice and full :D.
Hope everyone is doing ok and enjoying their GC!
    OS.
