Have done my last shop for February, and declared my figures in that thread......

So here I am, ready to go for March. Looking forward to this one, as it's the first time I've meal planned more than a couple of days ahead -- in fact I know what we're having until 6th April just now, and should have all the non-perishables in stock all ready.

So this months budget it for bread, milk, a bit of fresh veg, a small amount of fresh fruit (we're not really fruit eaters on a regular basis) -- and for stocking up on Whoopsies and special offers that I can then use from April onwards :D

  • Sent hubby for some spring onions as I was working. He managed to spend 22.68. Not going to bother sending him again.

MrsM please put me down for £280 again

I'm really chuffed with my stern talking to that I gave myself last month, so going to try again for same amount.

Store cupboards are lower than usual but maybe I dont need to keep them as full as I do :o

This budget covers anything you could get in a supermarket from toothpaste to stardrops to food.

It covers 4/5 adult dinners, 4 adult lunches and all breakfasts and snacks, (no one else spends a penny on anything edible in this household...where did I go wrong:confused: )

I only buy free range eggs and meat.

Good luck to all and welcome any newbies

Mrs M can you put me down for £80 per week please (my first week of march will start on the 2nd) this is more than we need but i find if i limit myself too low i panic and buy more stuff than we need  and go even more over budget. The £80 will cover everything needed to run/clean the house and feed us (me . 2 teens and 2 lo's) and the cats (3 of them) have made a meal plan for the next two weeks and shouldnt need that much shopping  . Having a NSD today and have done some baking with the lo's.......banana bread x2 and banana flapjack ( which has used up the rather sad looking bananas we had lying in the friuit bowl :D )which the kids are demolishing as i type lol. Tea tonight is quiche which we made yesterday and either jacket pots or wedges and salad x

I'm going to aim for £320 this month.

I have been trying to think of other things to feed the family, but with a few fussy people here its not easy. I can't wait until we get some warm weather as we eat alot of salads then, nice cheap food.
I used to suffer from lack of motivation.... now I just can't be arsed.
