Ex still harrassing me after so long

Same here 9 years and counting, and i have even got married and got 3 kiddies but still it happens.
Luckly my facebook is set for friends only and i only have a select few that i know on there, my e-mail address was changed many years ago, mobile the same, but three years ago we moved house away form the area we lived, so he started pestering my mum and dad(siblings live in other parts of the country), my mum and dad visit here very rarely (just incase he follows) and they always come once they have been out somewhere not straight from home. I visit them once in a blue moon, not that he scares me or anything(though 9 years ago he did try to kill me twice - poison), just don't want my little ones to get caught in the mess.

I even have still today court orders of all different sorts on him but like someone said above the police always stated they had no proof that it was him doing the deeds(yeah because i have a list of people who would do such a thing!!!!:mad:)

To be honest though i had to learn to get on with my life and not be frightened of him otherwise i would just exist and not live, but he really is a sick man as he carried on despite him knowing that i have two disabled kiddies, one with a life threatening illness who needs constant care.

I can understand your frustration with the Police but it's not really their fault, its the CPS (Crime Prosecution Service) and the legal system in general, if the Police don't have any evidence even if they have some strong circumstantial evidence the CPS won't entertain it. Very frustrating for the Police when they KNOW its a particular person but can't prove it.

Just used to annoy me when i had things such a notes attached to my front door with horrible things wrote on them and i would take it off without actually handling it, then put them in a sealed bag and take them to the police who would tell me that even if they found his finger prints on it doesn't mean he would have been the one who wrote it and stuck it there.

I'm just glad that as far as i know he doesn't know where i live anymore.

I found the police very helpful when I was being stalked. Ex used to threaten to kill me if I got another boyfriend, text & call constantly, drive past my house constantly, follow me everywhere, collect my binbags and examine the contents for 'evidence' of another man etc. As I say, police were happy to consider it as harassment, give me loads of advice and help, and were happy to take it as far as I wanted the go. The problem wasn't the police, it was me, because I was scared of upsetting him more by taking it any further.

It only stopped 7 years later when I was finally brave enough to get a new boyfriend and he went round & threatened my ex to stay away from me. Like most bullies, he was a coward, and that did the trick.
