Well I guess sort of redundant... I've been contracting, working on a large acquisition (big enough to be a reverse takeover) but the Board have reached the conclusion that they can't raise the finance to complete so its not going to happen.
Now that I can relate to. I work in M&A and there are so many projects just waiting for finance, or for company values to stabilise. An interesting industry to work in though. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? DHhas been finding that too. He has been officially in Capital Markets for a bit, but was doing mainly M &A, and is today 'moved' to M and A. DH is lucky, he gets a lot of variety in work...he says. It always seems to be M&A to me!0 -

It actually suits me just fine - I've been hating the last 8 weeks - there just hasn't been enough work to keep me busy, infact there hasn't been more than 1 week of work in the last 8 which I've absolutely hated. Hence being on MSE so much.
Now I get time to do the things I want to do, like kitesurfing and working on losing some weight... and learning a few more Jamie recipes
What are you guys all up to this weekend?
Fantastic, a direct Q where I can talk all about me me me.

Sunday, my old dad is coming down (he is so deaf now, we can only communicate in person and with gestures to help), will cook roast dinner and go through all the new business cashflow, orders da de da.

I work for as a contractor for a small company and we do projects UK wide, wherever they take us really. I'm based in the south, but not London.
Sorry, I should say I was thanking the first part of your post not the second, as you'll appreciate I don't want to get caught up in the intra-recession board politics. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Has your dad seen any hearing consultants? My Dad is 80% deaf and when they come over here later this year I'm hoping to get him checked out and get a couple of hearing aids for him.
What roast are you doing? I've just got into roasts though still pretty amateur at them.
Got the in-laws here this week so its a bit quiet really but Sunday I might go and have a look at a car as my car is falling apart. Can't narrow it down between a Golf GT and a BMW 1 series though. What do you think?0 -

That's so true! Once you're married for long enough they get to be all 3, often in the same day! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
