Sims delivery

Does anyone know how long will a network keep trying to deliver a message to a phone that is switched off?

Do you mean a text message. If so, once you've sent it that's it, if the phone is off for weeks message will be there.
if i had known then what i know now

depends on what the validation period of the message is (setup normally through the sms settings on the sending handset)...

what has sms delivery got to do with "sims delivery" ?

not true.. if the validation period is only 1 week then after that week the message will be deleted and if you've got delivery reports setup, you'll recieve a failed message..

goldentouch >> cool, just wanted to check i wasn't missing something lol.

salli9 >> which is fine, but if someone has set their sms' only to be valid for 1 week etc then you wouldn't get it.. i think most phones are setup with it set to maximum anyways..
