Lol :rotfl:
now I understand!!
when you said "glad I didn't try again with another address, thanks ladies
Do you think it might be an idea to warn people in the original post?"
I didn't think that you meant me as I am not a lady!
and when I said I entered with another email addy OMG another regular email must have had about 400 emails today :eek:
the emails where not from entering this competition but where from newsletters that I have signed up to in the past when I enter a competition I tend to sign up to there emails and newsletters so as to be the first to hear about new competitions only trouble is most tend to send out there emails on a Friday and it has now got out of hand as I don't have the time to trawl through them all!!0 -

OMG.....I'm so sorry, it didn't occur to me that you weren't female (or are you female but just not a lady  )? As for the emails, it just goes to show how the written word doesn't always say exactly what is meant. All clear now, so no problem

Are they part of another "group"?

I vaguely recall entering a similar comp quite recently
when you sign up to the list you receive the message below after submitting the form
please check your email inbox in 5 minutes (or something very similar) and I remember thinking at the time that the message was unusual
it could be that we may have already signed up to the list through a previous comp as there have been about 20 comps posted on MSE with the same prize in the last 3 months
On The Box appear to be connected to the following sites below so it could be one of them

or it could be a site connected to http://flipvideo.co.uk/

Sorry if this is just bumping and clogging boards but I wanted to comment on the "spam" issue.
I don't use my personal email address for entering any comps (mainly because it contains my full name and I am funny about that
) but also so that I don't get spam mixed up with private/important mail.
It takes five minutes to set up a separate yahoo/rocketmail/gmail/hotmail etc account - so you then enter all your comps with that one and just check it for spam and wins as often as you like.
Honestly, if someone wants to give me a big flatscreen :rotfl: telly - I will let them spam me a 1000 times a day!Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0
