I got that too and I wondered why because I can't remember entering the competition although it does look vaguely familiar

entered with another email addy OMG another regular email must have had about 400 emails today :eek::eek:

you both received an offer for a tv which you considered to be spam and you both received this offer how many times once twice numerous times?

did you not give them permission to contact you by signing up to the newsletter/list or offers

maybe you could clarify why you thought the offer was spam

The comp sponsors for the Ultra Flip Digital Camcorder have the following in there privacy policy

" If you do not want to receive promotional e-mail or mailings from us, please notify us by e-mail at [EMAIL="remove@flipvideo.co.uk"]remove@flipvideo.co.uk[/EMAIL]."

They also say "Privacy assurred you email address is never shared with anyone"

I personally only consider an email to be Spam if it is from someone or a list that I have not signed up to and they do not offer any way of unsubscribing from there emails or marketing list

I consider getting the occasional email from a company when I have entered a competition as part of the deal as they offer a prize to ensure that they can send you marketing material

When you send your email to enter the competition for the Ultra Flip Digital Camcorder you receive the following email by return

"We received your request for information from the otbflipvideo
group. Before we begin sending you the information you
requested, we want to be certain we have your permission"

"If you do not want to confirm, simply ignore this message"

I didn't say I was spammed , I said that it told me I had already entered, you were the one that said you had been inundated with emails, not me. I have no problem with receiving legitimate emails, it's a small price to pay for a chance pf a prize.

I must be missing something here, I really don't understand why you are so persistent in showing how good they are about not spamming when you posted yourself that you had received hundreds of emails in one day after signing up
