trying to migrate to new isp

hi I am trying to migrate from efh broadband to v21,filled in online form approx 3 days ago v21 tried to swiych me over but they said that bt had told them that my present broadband supplier efh ( who I am using now)has turned off my broadband.I rung v21 telling them this was not the case ,they told me to contact bt,which I did(I am with onetel for line rental)bt said ring onetel, they tried to sell me their broadband.So I am back to square one .I cut and pasted the mac code from efh so there should be no mistake there. sorry this is a bit jumbled but my head is spinning with being past from pillar to post . any advice would be welcome
