Does your landline telephone supplier affect your broadband supplier?

We are with BT for phone and broadband at the moment. We are at the end of a contract for the landline and i am thinking of changing to the post office but i wasn't sure whether i could continue to get my broadband from BT if i did this??

Thanks

It doesn't normally, but because BT bill for broadband through the phone bill (IIRC) it might affect your particular situation. Best to check with them.

But a general rule is no it doesn't - you can pay your line rental to company X, calls to company Y and broadband to company Z, or any combination if you wanted!
  • Excellent thank you.
  • post office use wlr2 so you can still have BT Broadband on a Post Office line with no problems.
  • why would you have this strange combination. What benifit is gained?
