We booked a bouncy castle from this company for our son's 2nd birthday. I was well organised and had a confirmation e-mail with all details correct by the 1st Feb ready for a party on the third weekend in March. But on the day, the castle never arrived!

We called the company about 20 minutes into the party and the person who answered took my number and promised to get someone to call me back (my number was also on the booking form) but no-one ever did. I know I didn't miss thier call cause my phone was in my back pocket on vibrate all day and there were no missed calls.

Sorry but I'm a little confused, isn't the 3rd weekend in March the 21/22 and so hasn't actually happened yet?
:j Go on, shake your money maker! :j

Just a heads up - last Friday night, about 21.30 hrs, the police were in Water Eaton Road, Bletchley with a speed camera. I have never seen them with a speed camera late at night (I don't often drive at night) but I thought other drivers might like to know.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

I've just been (this morning, in fact... the joys of a day off of work) and had my eyebrows threaded. It took me a while to find somewhere in MK that did it, but boy, I'm glad that I have.

I went to the Beauty Clinic based in Bourton Mill Health Club at Shenley (the old Dolphin Splashdown to us old-timers!). Bhavna runs the clinic out of three small rooms upstairs, and I was a bit wary, a) of what I presumed would be an expensive trip, and b) having it done!

I needn't have worried - Bhavna is lovely, and the threading wasn't as bad as I thought. She was very helpful, offering advice and suggestions not only about threading but about my skincare in general (and for Mothering Sunday which is on its way!). It was quick - not *too* painless and I was out in 15mins. All for the bargain of £6. There was no high pressure sales, no "oh, whilst you're here, have you considered..." - it was very relaxed and I didn't come away feeling guilty for not booking more treatments there and then.

Anyway, following my visit I thought I'd make you aware of her presence, and her website (sounds like I'm promoting it, but I'm not trying to!); Beauty Clinic MK. Her latest price list is on there and she also told me to keep an eye on the website as she's not sure what's happening with Bourton Mill and whether she'll stay there or not. I hope for our sake she stays in MK!

Thanks for this Indiegirl :T. I too have been looking for somewhere that does this in MK for nearly 18 months (much to the confusion of some of my new MK friends who just don't get my obsession with it!) I used to work in London so was able to get them done quite regularly in a place near by my work but I no longer have that luxury. I initially found a place in Wolverton and got very excited but then she took far too much off and it took 7 weeks for my brows to grow back properly and I sort of gave up and started trying to pluck (disaster ensued!). Then a couple of weeks back, I was in Debehams and got accosted by a 'threader' and got them done in there. They were actually very good, gave me a nice shape but it was more than double what I used to pay in London! I'm very glad there is somewhere close to me that I can now go to have them done.

    I hope she's good?

I can only say... give her a go! She certainly didn't take too much off but didn't under-do it, if you know what I mean. I was very pleased with her and am booking my mum in next week. I thought she was very reasonable price wise.

That's interesting about the place in Wolverton - I walked past it earlier tonight and wondered if I'd have been better going there. Obviously not, from your experience!

The zip has broken on my favourite huge, bright green leather handbag.

Can anyone recommend where I can get the zip replaced.

    Thanks

Thought there were no links to businesses allowed? ;) I have been to Bhavna she is good and very friendly, though i only went there cause my normal lady who does my threading had gone to India for vacation.

Bhavna prices are good too considering she is in a Health Complex/Gym.

No direct links to businesses in the top index, $17mma, that's all ;-) I figured it'd be better in the index to put the supporting recommendations along with their links. Particular, moi? Well, I did start the thread... ;-)
