    Wow, well done poshstock!

I had to weigh in last night instead of this morning as I have workmen in the house and I thought I'd look a bit silly in my pyjamas waiting for the wii fit to announce how heavy I am :rotfl: Anyway, apparently I've gained 1lb which I'm not surprised at as I'm feeling very bloated at the moment . With the exception of that though, I'm actually beginning to feel a bit thinner. OH laughed at me when I told him that I feel like bits are looser rather than a big bit of fat like normal!!!!

Did 30mins freestep on the wii last night and I was swinging my arms like mad which really wore me out!!

Have a good rest of the week everyone

((((((hugs))))))) to the Dragon, poor you, you are in the wars!

plzhelpmesave, never mind the scales, you are doing so well with your eating and exercise! Shame about the pool, I would be so annoyed!

littleemmie, I LOLed at the image of you and the builders! Never mind the 1lb, is it TOTM?

I have done 5 flights of stairs so far this morning and will do some more shortly. How good is stair climbing for weight loss/toning? I used to work on the 7th floor and always used the stairs, that was back in my skinny days mind!! There is bound to be a link. I am also going to the gym at lunchtime, I feel like I'm getting a bit fitter so will go for one extra session this week.

Breakfast today is a boiled egg and low fat bio yog. Lunch is a HM superfood salad (spinach, pomegranate seeds, brazil nuts, yellow pepper, toms, bulghur wheat and tuna), cannae wait to have it. Dinner will be a lamb and veg pilaf, mmm.

I am going to push the boat out a little this month and buy extra healthy stuff and not worry about the cost too much (within reason, this is MSE after all). My spending diary will tell the story at the end of the month! It is fine though, as I won't be buying sweets and if I end the month half a stone lighter it will be well worth it. Last month I spent £170 on groceries (for two of us) so it'll be interesting to see if being slightly less frugal makes much difference to that total!

Here's to an excellent day today for all of us!

    Hi, can I join you?
I'm on WW, only been on it since 8th Jan, but have lost 12½lb so far, so not too bad. Losing a bit of motivation at the moment. My weigh in day is Thursday. Got on the scales this morning and I have put on 1½lb this week! So must make a big effort between now and then, just so that I can STS.
You are all doing really well, and after reading the thread, have helped my motivation. So please put me down for your 7lb lose in March, I WILL DO IT!
    Thanks Taffy
Need to sort my life out! :T

Tara747 - Yep, fraid so. I'm determined not to eat more, like I normally would, because of it though. There are no unhealthy snacks in the house at the moment which is helping a lot. I really envy you being able to do loads of stairs! Ours are so steep I'd be afraid I'd end up summersaulting down them if I went up and down too many times!

Breakfast today was weetabix and I've just had a muller healthy balance corner yoghurt thing. Not sure what lunch will be yet as workmen have taken over the kitchen - might have to buy something on my way home from work a bit later. Dinner will be something with chicken but until the workmen are out the way I can't actually see what else I have in the cupboard/fridge to go with it!!

How does everyone else's OH react to your challenge? Mine is naturally very skinny, despite eating like a horse, so I feel bad for buying/cooking food that is designed for my weight loss. He is very supportive though, and has stopped buying chocolate and biscuits as it will just tempt me. I just feel guilty about him not having certain things because of me!

Hi taffy1969 :hello: 12 1/2 lb loss is great!

marmalade555 - you go girl, put all the bad food behind you! There are still 4 weeks left of March so you will be fine!!

littleemmie, at least you have an excuse for being bloated. My OH can eat whatever he wants too, but is supportive of me trying to lose weight. We eat pretty healthy dinners anyway so it's just a matter of me having a smaller portion/more veg/less starch on my plate. Although he is resisting my efforts to get him to go low fat in cooking e.g. he will still put cream in a dish rather than fromage frais  and then wonder why I don't want to eat it!!! grrrrrrrrr

Welcome taffy and congrats on your achievements so far!

I so don't want to go to the gym, just so busy today. But I will have to drag myself there - it is a stress reliever so I probably need it.

If you weighed in the evening not the morning then you have probably actually lost! you can normally put on about 3 pounds during the course of the day - just with general food and drink so panic not over that!

I managed to get to over 1,000 calories yesterday :j which pleased me and Dr Dragon (and in answer to what does your OH think about losing weight - he wants to shift about 30 pounds as well so he is trying to lose but he has a crisp habit!)

    Well done Dragon! :T

I had the salad, it was very nice although the pomegranate seeds were MINGING, far too sweet for a salad!!! I am going to make a nice non-alc cocktail with them later, ha ha!

I only managed to burn 150 cals in the gym, my legs just weren't feeling up to it but I'm pleased that I went. I've also done 20 flights of stairs and might squeeze in another few goes before going home.

Thanks Tara! Dr Dragon made an omelette for lunch and so I am up to 400 calories already , re sweet stuff in a salad - ick!!!:p My Mum loves things like cottage cheese and pineapple and would probably love pomegranate in a salad as well but it is not for me!

Wowza on the stair walking! trim calves are you!
