I got some recently and they were free. Try again."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

(without trying to sound smug) the post office?
no seriously i just asked the post office lady and was given them. it also kind of helps when you parents used to own a post office for 18 years, so you know the trade a bit better!!"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -

Ask if you can have a few to take home so you can package your parcels before you go to the PO. Failing that go to a different PO next time:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
I started a thread the other day about these - I just get them from the P.O., but my cousin has to pay the minimum posting charge for each bag. I think that they're gradually clicking on to the fact that some people have been taking loads home and turning them inside out to use, thereby avoiding having to buy bags for non-SD posting. Which spoils it for people who want them for genuine SD postings. :mad:I only exist in my own mind - if you can see, hear or read me, you are a product of my imagination.0

As far as I know, you can fob them off and say they are pre - paid and get a free SD (not done this) always said I still gotta pay
suppose you can say I've paid if you are that way inclined!?

I went back and got a few today as I have run out of good packaging myself and though since I am sending the items SD why not look professional and send them in fancy bags!
But the max weight it says is 1kg (This has been pre paid by me - £5.35 or something?). My question is, can I stick extra weight in the bag and just pay the excess at the post office (I think the items come into the £6.95 bracket)0 -
Anyone?
Also can I just put a sticky label over the "To" section with a address on? The space is too small for the address!0 -

You can, I've done it in the past, paid the minimum when I got it and when I took it pack to post weighted more so just paid the extra2p off is still 2p off!0 -
