  • Hi Blackruby..........I'm kind of back.........not sure how much I'll be posting after Manchester.........not quite sure why you associate me with pork rib recipes but I'll take it as a compliment ;) :rotfl:

Just need to zip up bag. Dragged down a tiny case on wheels from the loft. A freebie I got a couple of years ago and have never used. It only gets 1 outfit plus toiletries and a pair of shoes in but I don't really need anything else !!!

I've also packed a bag of crisps, a cup a soup and some chewy cereal bars for my dinner tonight. Seriously thinking though about re-considering my decision not to take my laptop and use the wireless in the room tonight for the thread.......£5 (eek!) for wireless at Days but it might be worth the luxury to stop me going mad with boredom with my cup a soup and Coronation St!

Well worth it BB I'd have though.
I have it at the back of my mind that some others are travelling down today but I may be wrong.
    What time is your flight?
  • due to take off at 3.25, land at 4.30. Depending on the distance through to the airport train station I might get the 5pm but there are trains every 10-15 minutes and it takes around 25 minutes to Piccadilly so all being well should be at hotel for 6pm.

Managed to squeeze my lappy in - it's a tiny bag so I've had to sacrifice the crisps!

Feels very bizarre to say I will be in Manchester today when I'm still sat at home!

  • I think this is the nearest meet I've been to !!! Blackpool was a lonnnnnnng way by train and so was Leeds. I didn't go to the Birmingham one which would have been a bit nearer, trains are around 3.5 hours from here to Brum.
