  • For the Blackpool meet I told my OH it was other researchers from AQA. Not quite sure how that made it any better as i've never met any of them! He was ok about that but when I went to Leeds and he said 'oh, AQA?' and I said 'no, my friends from MSE' he was a bit funny about it!

  • Sad isn't it. I'm going to be a granny next week but still feel accountable to my parents. :D
My daughters think it is a great laugh (1 wanted to come with me but she is doing the shop) but my son in law is seriously worried. :rotfl:

Not thought about packing. Need to shop on the way home and then I have a Leader coming for advise this evening. Eeek.

That would be my problem with coming to a meet too. Even though the reason I'm in debt is because of him, he finds it very odd that I'm on here and that I'm facebook friends with some of you! The thing is, I don't understand why he is being funny - almost like he's ashamed of me being here, or maybe it's his shame at the situation we're in and therefore the reason I'm on here, ie. if we weren't in debt, I wouldn't be here! Men!

  • My OH has never associated me being on here with my past debt. He just thinks they are people on MSE and I now just say I'm meeting up with a load from MSE such as Jo, Kass and Sar and he just shrugs as they are names he now vaguely knows from me meeting up before.

Maybe if there is ever a meet held nearer to me, I'll mention it to him and see what he says. But he can be like that - I remember once when we went to Derby and I wanted to have a look at the house I lived in whilst at uni there (and with an ex) and he got ever so funny, even to the point of being in the city centre and he wanted to get out ASAP! I didn't understand it, as we didn't know each other when I lived there, you can't change the past, so why get upset over it? maybe that's just me.

My OH doesn't know I'm on here so I'm not sure exactly what excuses I'd have to make! Ironically, it would have been easier six months back when I hardly saw him, than these days when he's being attentive and is with me every other day :rotfl: (wouldn't swap that though! :o)

Congratulations to Luc and hubbles....Glad he's finally here.

And fab, fab choice of names (both my girls were going to be Nathaniel James if they were boys :D )

Not had chance to catch up with the thread in any detail, life's going a bit "arggghhhhh" at the moment and I think I might just go boil my head until it's all over.

Hope you all have fun tomorrow.

  • I'm setting off in 10 minutes  ...........OH has been very insistent on driving me to the airport so it saves me £12 on the train one way at least. I couldn't understand why he was so keen, not like him at all, I didn't believe the 'well you run me around' line and then last night he said he was driving on to pick up his son in Portsmouth and then they are driving up to Manchester for this meal tomorrow that he still 'doesn't know where it is happening' so it all falls into place:rolleyes: .......he wasn't impressed though that I wanted to leave at 1pm - it's way too early for him and he is in fact then driving back to Poole and he was trying to get me to leave later - I was like erm........no - I want to leave at 1pm, if you don't want to take me I'll get the train but I can't make the plane wait because it doesn't now fit in with your plans
