There is a book published this weekend on the Dirty Thirty. It's the story of the local miners' strike written by a local author. It will sell like hot cakes. I ordered them about 6 weeks ago. Just rang the distributor and they are hoping to get them to me 'sometime next week'.
I have had 6 people in for it already. It has been on Radio Leicester. Great.0 -
Congratulations Luc, and I love the name :j0

Oh Bookie, that is so frustrating, esp. when the publicity is out there and people are wanting to buy it. I do hope that when the books finally get to you that the 6 people return, buy a copy, then tell all their friends to also buy a copy too!
You would think that with the state of everyone's finances, that companies would bend over backwards to help sellers make their money, which in turn will make money for them! It's strange where some people's priorities lie - like keeping hold of a £650k annual pension with no thought for others!!
Well I hope they pull their finger out and get it to you ASAP! And ask if Radio Leicester could run the article on the radio again next week!!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My DebtsDFW Long Hauler #109

Right, just caught up.
Lenny - *hugs* I went with one of my animals to get put down, couldn't breathe from tears. My thoughts are with you.
Luc - Congratulations, glad Nathan James finally decided to show up.
Lou - Kick the person who said you have a fat !!!
In other news, work did pay me, I'm a little short because of the weekend I had mumps. So that means that if I want to actually eat this month, I'm missing a couple of credit cards repayments. But I'm not too worried about that. Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. I drink way too much coffee.

I told the publisher at the time that the distributor he had chosen was rubbish!
The publisher is only in Nottingham and could have sent them direct.
On top of the news about the blooming council it's just all too much this morning!0 -
