Has anyone ever flowm from Manchester to USA with them (any destination)
I have read some scathing reviews but i realise most people would write a complaint - few would write a compliment.

Hi Strull
Your right I mean i always fly American Airways when I go to the USA, but if you read the reviews on the seat guru site they get really bad reviews, but they have always been great with me, even with a recent schedule change that would of made me missed my plane home but one call all sorted no problem, if you want to fly and try them do it, everyone opinon is difrrent its like me saying transformers 2 is !!!!!, you might go and love it's just how these things go0 -

Thanks, looking at the prices and factoring in all costs flying from London (hotel, parking, etc) its approx £250 cheaper to use US Airways from Manchester.0 -
We`ve flown that route twice, albeit a couple of years ago. Very good flights with seat back TV`s with on demand films etc. The cabin crew are generally mature and good. Legroom is fine. We had no complaints.0

i've flown on the MAN - PHL route 4 return trips in the last year.
Planes vary. when flew back with my misses. managed to move a row forward as it was empty. good job really, when the food came out she put the tray table down where i would have been sat, came off in her hand.
i've been on 1 plane where the leg room i would imagine was about 30". i'm 6'2" and with my back pressed to the back of the seat my knees were still pressing on the seat infront. a bloke that was 6'6" came to sit by me. he moved to a bulk head seatso had 2 seats so was relatively comfortable.
worse journey (which i made a complaint and got $100 off next flight - which i used for the wife when she flew over once).
after food was served we were ORDERED to shut blinds and told to sleep.
i had a nap and woke up thirsty, as you do. waited 10 minutes and no one came round with water (like they do on most carriers).
went to the back (as i don't like pressing the button - they aren't servants) and there was no one in the galley. they were all sleeping on the back 4 rows. managed to make eye contact with a stewardess and asked for a coke. i was told "can't you just sit down and go to sleep?". After confused look. got coke.
rest of the journey the crew tried to sleep. when one of the men did walk around he had an ipod on so ignored everyone.
saying that, the other crews i've travelled with have been fine!
I would fly with them over continental purely for the airbus over the 757 (2 aisles) but would probably chose delta (truck stop airways - average crew age 57) over both0 -
I've done US Airways from Manchester to Philly a few times. As long as it is the A330 on the dates you are choosing (it is being subbed for a 757 on some dates) then I would go with them, especially with bmi pulling out of Manchester for long haul.
Seating is fine on the A330, although try to get seats in the forward economy cabin as they have a little more room. The service is on a par with other airlines, but they do at least have decent in flight entertainment.0 -
Flew with them last year from Man to Philly with husband and 9yr daughter - and was well impressed. The seats were fine - staff lovely and changed flights internally without at hitch. Flying again in May too.0

If you are going to the East coast and you are under 5'6 and have no young children then yes.
However if you are going to the Mid-west or the West coast, 6 foot tall, and have to travel with children.I would say
