  • Im so sorry to rant but i feel thats all thats left in me.

I just feel so awful today. I was supposed to hear about a job today that i interviewed for and nothing..nothing... in my head ive already give up on it even though i really wanted it.

Im so worried about money, after the end of this month i have NOTHING to pay the mortgage etc with. Job centre wont help and ive got no idea what to do.

I just feel depressed. Like im never going to get another job. I know you have probably heard it before but it really is awful. I feel useless and worthless. Like no-one wants to employ me.

Every agency ive been to gives me the same talk about how my CV is good etc...ARHHHHHH

*apologies for making you all depressed now*

Cheer up doll. You're not alone. I'm sitting here under a pile of blankets working out how me and husband can make ends meet. I have been unemployed for a month now, and I know how you feel. Keep your chin up, snuggle under a blanket, read a good book and keep smiling, because you need to keep positive. Or, go out for a walk with your music on to get your endorphins going - anything.

Whenever you apply for a job and don't get it, put it out of your mind, and keep moving on. My advice to you is to think of what you do have and hold on to that. And keep in contact with your friends. I can't afford to go out with my pals any more, or visit them, but I do email them.

  • Thanks Rose. xxxxx
Its nice to know im not the only one. I cant go out anywhere either. I havent in a long time.

I was really motivated when i first got made redundant to look for another job, but as time goes on I just get more depressed about it and think sod it. Which i KNOW wont help at all!x

    Hi Blondie.

I think you have a bit of cabin fever! Its hard not having the money just to go the the pub for a few drinks, or for a coffee with mates. Just be kind to yourself today. I don't like job agencies - they work for the client, not for you. You'll get something soon - you are young and bright and in a population centre. I will follow your diary and chip in if I can help. If it makes you feel better, our income has dropped from £3,600 to £1,000 and with debts, bills and rent, its dire. But I have been there before (I'm older than you) and things will change. Spring is around the corner, and that will improve our well-being. I am going to take a long walk every day as I have put so much weight on in the last month. Its free and good for you. Hope your day improves :)
  • Hi all,
Hope your all having a nice evening. :j
After my huge rants of yesterday i do feel better. I STILL havent heard from the job i was supposed to hear back from. I dont know how i feel about it now, just think that if the answer is a no then they could have told me that a while ago!

    Oh well!

Sparky the OH has gone away, AGAIN, he was back for one day and is off again. I didnt get upset i went out instead!! :T :D
I have a friend who i knew from my old job and he took me to his poker group, me being a girl, i was so worried but they were all so nice!! I played my first game and was actually good!!!:rotfl: They said i have a good 'poker face'...lol I wouldnt say that, i was actually just looking confused THE ENTIRE TIME and had no idea if i was winning!

I have been very bad on the diet today, have eaten about a million bags of quavers, not good.

Im just sitting here listing some things on freecycle. (stuff i cant sell).

I should have organised my dinner by now...but im sitting in bed with the cat on here...im terrible when the OH is away, i dont make any proper dinners! Which i really SHOULD do when im trying with my lard-busting efforts.

On a sightly good note i have got another interview for next week, for verge large company, but the only thing is they want experience with a software that i dont have...so not sure it will come of anything!

Hope your all having a lovely night...ive got a few nights of Eastenders and Corrie to catch up on too, im so SAD that i get excited about the fact ive got some extra episodes to watch!!!:p

Hi - glad you are feeling better! Watch those quavers though dear - I am recovering from a walker's cheese and onion crisp issue so I know what I'm talking about! Great news about the interview - you haven't given up, and that's the main thing. Shame Sparky can't get a job where he dsoesn't have to work away - I would find it very hard without my OH on top of the unemployment - I can't wait for him to come home to me in the evenings. The poker sounds fun!

    Hi blondie

Just been catching up on your diary. No reason at all why you should need to cook dinner if you don't feel like it - I am a great advocate for cereal and fruit in bed. It covers most major food groups, and should keep the cat happy that you are there to keep it warm, which, of course, is one of the primary human roles in catland. ;) Just don't slop the milk everywhere (says the voice of experience...).

On a more serious note, there could be all kinds of reasons why you haven't heard about the job yet, such as big boss not being available to agree an offer/still waiting for tests to be marked etc. Good to hear that you have other options on the go in the meantime. I am sure there must be lots of roles where that newly practiced poker face will come in handy. :D Glad that you have managed to break out from the cabin fever - I am not very good at doing that myself, so will take note.

Good luck with the job search.
