Cancelling Sky B/B before contract ends - Complicated!

Hi there,
I'm looking to move away from Sky B/B (but stay with them for TV). After much whispering to a manger, the helpful chap supplied me with a MAC (he legally has to), but has advised that there MAY be charges for cancelling before the contact finishes. The contact finishes May 18th (so about 11 weeks left).
I pushed him on the 'MAY', the emphasis in his voice made me curious. He said that primarily as a Sky TV customer, if I cancelled my whole TV/BB package then there would be no problem (I have had Sky TV for ages), however as it's specifically B/B, there MAY be a charge.
I got into a bit of a banter with him for being so vague, he said basically as Sky B/B is so new, this situation hasn't come up before to his knowledge. He was (personally) 90% sure there wouldn't be a charge so close to the end of the, but couldn't say for sure. It sounds like they don't yet have a policy in place for this.
What do you guys reckon? I'm soo tempted by O2's Pro Package....priority support, wireless-n router, and superfast speeds to take advantage of the new 20meg 21CN exchange BT have just put in.
Cheers,
Chris
P.S. - Any cashback deals or discounts on O2 B/B for an existing O2 customer?

I can't see why they wouldn't enforce the contract term? Perhaps you should wait the 11 weeks unless you can afford not to and are desperate for the extra speed.
You can get a reduction on the o2 tariff if you are an o2 mobile customer, brings o2 Pro down to £17.13 per month. Believe cashback available via Quidco still. No free lunch, and no free laptop
