Also make sure when you do buy your petrol, try and get it from the supermarkets and collect the clubcard points if shopping at Tescos. Some people sell these on ebay for about 2 or 3 times the face value of the vouchers.

Sounds daft but I have found a massive difference in just making sure that I make other half's sandwiches for work so he is not spending money on food in the daytimes. I have become slightly obsessed about a spending diary!!

    Todays update:

So was back at work today after 2 weeks off, it was pants. I'm hating work at the moment and can't wait to find something else. Won't moan too much as lots of redundancies- i was made redundant July 08 so i know how it feels- hence i rushed into a job i don't enjoy. MUST KEEP THINKING IT PAYS THE BILLS!!!:silenced:

I started using the online spend diary http://www.spendingdiary.com/main.php thinking it's fab so thanks to whoever posted it on blondies thread.

Ps Hi blondie! Yes i've been trying to sell the bloody thing since Aug!!!! And so far have knocked a total of 2k off! Here's hoping this month it will go so i can pay off a nice little chunk.

Today spending was £6.55- for a baby shower present and card. Got some little things (i used to go overboard on gifts) and got a roll of wraping paper when i would usually get a gift bag as i can use the paper for mothers day too:T

Making a dinner from freezer tonight- not very healthy but me and OH used to love a cheeseburger with a cheeky egg (thats what we call it lol) from our local kebab house = £6 for both. I make my own version now which is a little less fattening and i think it costs at around £1 for both now!!!:D

Called ford finance today and good news is i can make overpayments :o but not on my first direct loan

I used the snowball which is giving me a great plan. I have got myself a nice little spreadsheet going- if anyone wants to see it message me and i'll email it. It's nothing fancy like people have done on here but helps me. I am going to use the budget planner on here too.

Had a very low spend week but have a night out on sat night. We have friends travelling down from manchester to stay. It's a special night on at a club but we are going to drink at ours 1st (save buying too many drinks out). it's £5 to get in the club and will be about £4.00 in taxi as we will share. I'm only going to take £30 out with me. Since i gave up smoking in Nov that has saved a fortune!!!

Posted some of my ebay items today and got a few more selling :j

This month will be a struggle, OH Bday on 21st and still need to get a gift- he doesn't want one but i refuse!!!!!!! But we have reduced our usual £250 spend on each other to £50. I have got half of his prezzie- a fifa wii game and got it half price on ebay! so can be under the £50 budget :T

For mothers day i'm making gifts, i make great cupcakes so will be baking some of those and maybe a personalised jar of notes/quotes.

I also think i have a rare book, i got it ages ago in a little book shop for a couple of quid and from looking at it, it's a 1928 heinemann Completeworks of Jane Austin- looked online and they go for around £300 i think. I need to find somewhere near me to get it looked at i think. That would be fab if it is though as that could go towards debts!

I am so happy about that!!!

Well sold the MGF today:D but only for £980 but i can't be choosy, i've been trying to sell her since Aug 08. So that is going on the credit cards!!! So that will mean captial one will be no more and barclaycard only 100 left. This means my snowball and debt free date should be reduced wooooooooo hooooooooooooo. So need to redo that.

Work was rubbish as per but it's the weekend now so all is good!

    • Pay £980 to bank for the payments
    • Do budget spreadsheet
    • clean house ready for sat nite, friends staying, drinking in 1st then out- i have £30 budget
    • Do online shopping- use promo code
    • Dooyoo review
    • Recover from hangover sunday sick0021.gif
    • Snuggle time with OH
I'm so looking forward to going out tomorrow night, not been out since Dec 6th!! And i get to see one of my best friends who i have not seen since then as she is coming down to stay with us.

Not football this weekend though as we won't have time to get back from leicester in time for them to arrive.

    Spends today:

42p on postage for ebay item
