Carpetrights 'middle of the road' rubbery underlay = £109
Cloud 9's super luxury sponge underlay= £48.40 delivered from the carpet underlay shop website.

-so I have bought a much better spec of product and have saved £60.

My room is 3.25m by 4.2m. I did a bit of research, and found the bubbly rubber underlays are going a bit out of fashion, as they are flattening more and more easily. I read the the cloud 9 underlays were lighter, longer lasting and the uks best sellers.

On the metal plates, I paid £2.29 each plus delivery. CR's plates were fitted at £5.99 each.

Don't pay Carpet Right prices for underlay or their accessories as they are just a complete rip-off !!

We visited Carpet Right about 3 weeks ago and they wanted £8.99 for 11mm Foam underlay - this was more than the carpet ?

Ended up buying the Ball & Young - Cloud 9 Cumulus 11mm Thick from Wilsons Underlays as they are cheaper up to 3 Rolls than other sites. I was amazed at the quality, so much better than that at Capet Right

I did find eBay were cheaper for just 1 Rolls - so worth checking out if your just after a small amount
