It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

I'm sure lots of BBC filing clerks are Tories just to balance things out.

Probably "because of the unique way the BBC is funded that we're able to........" pretend to be unbiased while showing a clear preference for soft left solutions ("the Government must do something about xxxxxxx").

The BBC shows adverts in Australia. Clearly they're not that bloody precious about their 'unique' funding.

It is clear that the govt loves the Beeb - just look at the Hutton report. (sarcasm).

    Hmmm Hutton Report...
Little did they know that Greg Dyke, once active supporter and financial donor to the labour party was not to be the 'yes man' they were aiming for, huh?*

*Not that I'm defending Greg Dyke, he should have gone after having shown images of dead servicemen against the will of the families.

It was rather amusing listening to radio 5 today.

They were talking about RBS and Alistair Darlings speech etc. Funnily they kept going back to one callers point about it all being our fault collectively. They wouldn't leave that one.

The reason for this collective fault was because we all enjoyed our 125% mortgages and "you didnt hear anyone complaining then" said the presenter.

Funny, I thought. It depends if your willing to listen or just go "la la la".

BBC really trying to push the message of were all to blame, but mostly America.

I'm sure the list above though, if it had all the people employed at the top would have some conservative / lib dem people in? I'd love to see the averages! Bet labour party supporters / members would fall into the majority.

Ah! You mean Lord Reith 1889 - 1971 I suppose. Don't let the Lord bit fool you - he wasn't born into an aristocratic family.

Does he still have editorial control From Beyond the Grave.....?

The Centre for Policy Studies has published a couple of interesting free articles on this subject:

BBC Bias? Two Case Studies - http://www.cps.org.uk/cpsfile.asp?id=469

Confessions of a Reformed BBC Producer - http://www.cps.org.uk/cpsfile.asp?id=727

Admittedly the Centre for Policy Studies is biased in its own right (it was set up by Keith Joseph and Margaret Thatcher), but the articles make some interesting points.
