My partner owns this house with a small mortgage from A&L.
He refuses to allow me to pay anything towards the mortgage neither will he entertain having the house in joint names... as someone said earlier, yes, I am very worried he will try to put me out... he has before, knowing I had nowhere else to go and was just about to lose my job. Lovely eh....!!!*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
I am the sole owner of all the mortgage on my house...I bought it 'with' my husband, we both chose it, we both live here, the house belongs to us both...but only my name is on the mortgage.
My hubby has his own company and I could afford the mortgage we needed on my salary so it was just easier that way than having to go through the faff of providing his accounts etc.
I pay the mortgage, hubby gives me money now and then...there are more important things to worry about in life...please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

Mrs_Ryan. I'd recommend you put anything you would contribute towards the house into a secret account... Then use it to move out!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

When we bought this house I had just changed jobs so the mortgage company wouldn't put me on the mortgage and I had to sign a form saying I had no legal claim on the house! We're now married with 2 children and we just haven't gotten round to changing the names (have discussed it and we're going to do it next year so I can qualify and hopefully get settled in a job) but I think because he didn't live in it before me and we moved in together it has never been an issue for us.Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0

We live in his house.
I lived with my parents before and he owned this house. When I moved in last year we decided that seeing as I wasnt earning and couldnt afford to really contribute to the bills we decided to keep the mortgage in his name.
Now Im earning (but not much) I still dont pay the bills (I buy all the food and fun stuff) so its still in his name. We havent changed it as were planning to move in the next 12 months and then we will buy the house together as I have money in savings

I live in OH's house as I don't pay anything towards it as am a full time student. However, I solely own one house outright that I inherited. Also he has a BTL too.0

I own most of my house, the Nationwide owns the other little bit. I bought this when I got divorced - and the kids were still living at home.
If I got together with someone, I wouldn't want him living here because this house is mine (and my kids inheritance). There was a report on the BBC site a while ago about the law society saying that live in partners who were not married, should be able to claim part of any house after 2 years. I should coco, someone taking this from me after 2 years? No chance.
I like my own space anyway to run the house how I like, paint it what colour I like etc. He can do his own washing, I'll do mine. I wouldn't mind them staying over now and again but it's a no to moving in!Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
......Now Im earning (but not much) I still dont pay the bills (I buy all the food and fun stuff) .......
That's still a contribution - I don't pay any of the bills as such but my %age share of them = the amount of housekeeping each month (I currently take home 27% of the household income so pay 27% of the total).2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
