Never mind the bill, spinningsheep. What sort of meter do you have? In post #6, you said imperial. If it is imperial, the £550.05 would be about right.

It's unlikely, though. I think you'll find you have a metric meter and need to use that in the smartmeter site, otherwise, you will get a sreiously incorrect answer.

Right, i gave actual meter reads and on the bill it says:

METER READ ON 14/02/09 2483
METER READ ON 03/03/09 2528

14th feb to 18th feb:

14 imperial units over 5 days (actual)
gas units converted 446.43 over 5 days

first 37.00kwh x 6.533p = £2.42
next 409.43kwh x 3.319p = £13.59

19th feb to 3rd march:

31 imperial units over 13 days actual
gas units converted 988.54 over 13 days

first 95.00kwh x 6.531p = £6.20
next 893.54kwh x 3.164p = £28.27

TOTAL COST OF GAS USED THIS PERIOD £50.48

Spinningsheep - in post 6 you quoted a gas reading of 2009 for 16/02/09 whereas in your last posting you are quoting a reading of 2483 on 14/02/09 - which is correct?

I think that, rather than putting the wrong meter into the website, you put the wrong meter reading.

You have an imperial meter and used 45units, not 519 units as in post #6.

Ahh, there will be the bad. I have no idea where I got that read from, the one I gave to BG is the right one. there, that settles it, I screwed up.
