I have applied for my mac from aol. They have today send me an email saying that they will not issue a mac until i tell them who i am going to and why. My question is. Can they ask those questions and with hold my mac? I dont see where i am going is any of their business.

No they cannot withold the MAC. Tell them you don't want to discuss the reasons, and ask them to either send it or escalate the matter as an official complaint.0

Hi folks
We are with AO - Hell, we are thinking of changing, we do not have a set contract with them, but am aware they are not the easiest when you request a Mac code.
We did experience problems a few years back with them as we were going to change to go elsewhere when suddenly we were then told they could not supply for our area, yet AO-Hell stated it takes a few days to receive the mac code, but we left it anyway due to the change of circumstances.
But now we are thinking of going with BT broadband, we already have the BT phone line obviously, but do not want to me messed about when it comes to the mac code.
Has anyone had problems with these in regards to a mac code request?
Would be happy to know what to expect of them now lol, cheers folks.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
