Asda Grocery Site - Big Problems Trying To Order! Anyone else?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place - I'm not sure where to post it!

I've just spent ages doing my usual Asda shop. I first scrolled through the rollback and deals sections selecting what I wanted and all was fine. Then I went through all my favourites. I had almost finished shopping (I expected roughly £90 without bog-off discounts etc), when a warning box popped up to tell me that I couldn't order more than 400 items! I looked at my basket list on right of the page, and found that everything from my favourites list had been added (and sometimes 6-10 of each item)! And the cost of the shopping came to over £400!

I tried cancelling each of the items that I don't want, but it is such a laborious process (click the minus button, wait for the page to re-load, then scroll back to where you where, click it again, etc)! but it will take forever! The problem is that the list is likely to be retained when I next log in, and I can't be bothered wasting anymore time removing all the extra stuff!

It's late, I'm tired and I've wasted time - and I've still got no shopping!

I don't know if you are aware but, in certain areas of the country, there is a new website and a new way of organising deliveries. It all started Tuesday at the store I deliver for and all seemed ok on my last shift which was Tuesday evening.

Major differences are new price structure and different delivery time slots. I couldn't get on the website at all yesterday due to 'transfering customers to new website'. I haven't tried to get on it yet today.

  • I had a problem where I ordered some aunt bessies frozen pancakes (2 packets at £1 each), paid for my order and left it. I then realised that I had forgotten to add something and I wanted to get some more pancakes as no where local to me sells them and I can't personally get to asda. So I retrieve my order and no pancakes in the basket. Did a search for the site and no product found. Looked at the confirmation email and they were definitely checked out - so in between me checking out and getting a confirmation email they decided it was fine to remove the product from my basket without telling me!

I used asda for delivery once and never again

the stuff they substituted! Skimmed milk 4 pints - none in so brought full fat? when I rang them I said you could have just give me 4x 1pts they said they would naturally chooe another 4 pinter? Crazy!! we cant drink full fat due to OHs cholestrol.

Asked for a multigrain granary weightwatchers loaf? It got replaced with an asdas own smartprice loaf  another granary loaf, I can see, or another WW loaf I can understand but smartprice white sliced...

A few things they didnt have at all ( chicken was one thing I remember) so the whole shop ws pretty much pointless, as I had no food for the week as there was no meat!

    Never again!

Ive never done online ordering since!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

  • I haven't had any problems...did an order yesterday and amended it a few times during the day...for delivery this morning. Still on the old website tho after putting postcode in.
  • Hi everone
I'm new here so if I get anything wrong I'm sorry.
I am having really bad problems with the new ASDA site, I can't order anything, I have had home delivery for the past year on the old site with no problems but on the new one I get all the way to checkout, enter card codes & confirm & then get the message "processing error delivery impact"
I have spend so long talking to customer services it is ridiculous, they have been really nice but have no idea either.
Anyone else had any problems like this or have any idea's why?

I had problems too. I spent ages making up an order and one for the following fortnight. The day before it was due to be delivered the whole thing was cancelled (not by me)! I thought stuff it and went back to Tesco's.

Have you tried registering your card with them? All I have to do at checkout is enter my 3 digit security number and it goes through no problem.

We tried ASDA a couple of years back for home delivery and found too often items being substituted for stuff we didnt want or didnt like.
So we tend to stick with Tesco whenever a home delivery is required.

The problem is that ever since we signed up to ASDA we still get emails from them even though we have requested (on the unsubscribe bit) not to receive them on numerous occasions and also Block them whenever they still come thru!
Again today, we've got yet another email announcing their free delivery - how is this still happening? Do they alter their address every time they send an email to avoid being blocked?

I'm really surprised that such a well known supermarket resorts to these tactics, surely if they allow you to unsubscribe then that should be an end to it?

Anyone else have this problem?

    Cheers
