So far today I have had porridge made from almonds that have been soaked for 2 days then blitzed in a blender with a bit of honey and topped with apple slices. Then I had an organic pork loin with paprika, onion and apple.

I never pay attention to cholesterol because I believe a lot of it is a myth. I ate as human beings are supposed to eat and I am so much healthier mentally and phsyically as a result.

If I eat carbs such as rice regularly, I sleep 7-8 hours a night. If I cut out the carbs completely, I sleep 4-5 a night yet have a lot more energy.

I don't eat bananas. They are an artificial fruit - engineered by man, and that is why they contain starch. And they sometimes give me an upset stomach.

Strawberries, carrots, bananas, pineapples etc are all classic allergens and they all have one thing in common - they do not exist in the wild. They are either hybrids or have been selectively grown (modified) by man. As a result, they have unnatural proteins and sugars in them which interfere with human biology.

Are you qualified in this area or is it just an area of interest to you? (Gillian Mckeith?)

I actually cook a lot (I love cooking) and everyone likes my cooking so I must be doing something right. I just don't eat the carbs.

I am not qualified in this area but I have read extensively and I think this diet is the correct understanding of human metabolism. It works for me and for everyone else I know that has tried it.

    Gillian McKeith? No thank you.

it is said by specialists you should eat twice as many carbs as protein. That's because they can be absorbed as glucose faster than can proteins or fats. The problem is when you eat too much bad carbohydrates, it makes you feel tired the whole day.
That's exactly the problem with them. Blood sugar shoots up, insulin level shoots up, blood sugar shoots down. Starches may take longer than sugars but it's still the same effect. Have a read of this if you like: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1567335

Anyway, sorry to butt in. U4EA, you appear to be a parallel universe version of me, it's kind of scary so I will leave you to it. Good luck in your quest!

Thanks for your contribution. You are not butting-in at all!

That's thing people don't seem to realise. Everyone is told to avoid sugar, yet starch has the same affect on the body, just not as severe.

There were pretty much no carbs in our diet until the introduction of farming, about 10,000 years ago. Carbs progressively destroy hormone production and, ergo, badly weakens the human body.

If you look at human beings living in their natural environment, they mostly eat fat and protein with a bit of plant matter and some fruits. Maybe some honey too. Yet these people are FAR healthier at a much more advanced age than Western people are in the prime. And it's because their biology is not being destroyed by their diets.
