I dont think of it as being effiicient , it is just a case of filling in a few boxes as per instructions and sending it off. This is a moneysaving site not a spend extra site.
If you do get it wrong (no need to) they will return it for you to correct and as long as you have applied in plenty of time that shouldnt be a problem.
Regarding the photos being rejected, the criteria is getting stricter all the time and will get stricter still later this year. If you send your photos direct to the UKPA they are much more likely to be accepted, even if a post office might have rejected them0 -

I needed to renew my 10 year passport. I asked at the Post Office about their Royal Mail Special Delivery price (which is advised on the passport form) and declined their £3.85 service:eek: and stuck a first class stamp on the envelope.
I posted the envelope on the 8th February and the new passport was hand delivered to my home this morning (16th February)..........so I'm quite happy with the speed of service.10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j [/COLOR]:cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. The reason Special Delivery is more is that you get a guaranteed 1pm next business day delivery, a signature as proof of receipt and a minimum of £500 compensation.
From Jersey I have to pay £6.15 minimum to send by special delivery."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
Hi, just to say unofficially, not a lot of work at the moment - so turnaround should be really quick, probably well within the 10 days, as long as the application is straightforward - original documents etcTitch
