Have checked the OPs previous posts and it is the handbag thingy!!! Check and see (or I'm going mad...) ;)

Sorry, I have checked just now (went thru all sinw's relevant posts) and I don't see anything about handbags! Except the mention of the rucksack of course but that's a different matter...I also know sinw is a couponer like me - I have seen his/her posts before on the Discount Codes & Vouchers threads.

The only reason we are buying tons of Best magazines is for the 'cash' profit in each one which can be used against your shopping in Tesco. I have bought more than 23 copies but sadly my local stores have run out now...

Any questions about couponing, anyone? Have a look at the sticky 'Printable Coupons/Policies' - you may just save a lot of money.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've only read the first and last pages but there is no way the OP is more than 5yrs old with spelling like that!!

Surely Tesco's shouldn't be out to corner 5yr olds believing they have stolen a copy of Beano.

OP - Wasn't your mum with you???

Excuse me, but when I was 5 years old, my spelling was a LOT better than that! ;)

Hi, any advice would be appretiated...

Today at 11am i went to purchase some magazines from Tesco - i paid, and then thought i would like to go and look at some yougurts. So i toddled off and at the yougurt isle the mags were getting heavy and starining the cheap t plastic bag' so i put them in my rucksack.

Anyhow out of the door i was stopped by security n asked if they cud look in ma bag, i refused and they asked for reciept, i refused. I told them to go n ask the checkout girl who served me (i know her from shopping there regular), anyhow the guys surrounding me in the corner of the cs said they wont to protect them??? then one manager said why dont we just ban him, i asked them if why they wanna look in ma bag are they accusing me of stealing? They said no they were not, i said well why do u want look in ma bag? They said as someone reported me putting stuff in ma bag in the store, so i said u must be accusing me of something then? I took them ova to the checkout girl and the had put up wiv a barage of staff shouting just show them ur reciept.

I would not show them unless police were presant as i think i may have rights, but dont know as i never been stopped before. Eventually the Police arrived and cautioned me, looked through ma bag n only found what i had paid for (obviously) anyhow they let me go after being searched and id checked i have a stop form with grounds say - identifieds as possible offender in shoplifting then says negative result.

Anyhow i extremly upset and angry with my treatment in TESCO and wonder what i can do? I phoned CS who gave me a case number to write a letter of complaint.....

    any thoughts??

My thoughts are that you haven't go grounds for a complaint. You were asked to show your receipt and purely to be contrary you refused so they called the Police. If you had shown them your receipt you would have been on your way with an apology within 5 minutes.

Supermarkets have to search people's belonging occasionally to prevent theft.

OMG this thread has scared me to death now.

What if you go shopping and don't bother taking/ forget to take your receipt and then get stopped?

It's a scary world out there.

Just don't do what the OP did - which was to pay for something THEN go back and start looking at other stuff in the store.
It's only a scary world out there if you make it so - which the OP did.
Basically, the OP behaved like a total plonker, so much so in fact, that it makes me wonder if the intent was to cause such a furore within the store in the first place.

Just what WAS so interesting about those yoghurts, I wonder?

God knows how many real shoplifters went whilst you were having your little five minutes.

Any inconvinience YOU caused and you don't deserve any compensation what so ever for being delayed by your own fuss.

Change your supermarket and get over it IMO!

The original poster is just a compensation chaser.

Unfortunately nowadays it works quite a lot of the time and makes it hard for peeps with a genuine grievance.

It would appear that the OP is adopting a scattergun approach in his quest for support of his actions:

Posting in txtspk probably hasn't helped your cause to gather sympathy on here either...
