When i first saw it i believed it was a fixed rate for first 13 Months as well.

"Preferential rate" when Barclays pays a higher variable rate. :rolleyes2

Can anyone tell me why transfers are done by cheque and not electronically - is there legislation or FSA rules that says this.

Does anyone know if there are any providers who will transfer electronically -

what about internet isas, are they transferred by cheque or electronically,

and if all are by cheque, does the new scheme backdate the interest to the day the transfer cheque was drawn.


If it is all by cheque, is a complaint to the banking/financial services ombudsman in order, if the cheque takes more than 3 days in transit/to clear into the new account?


I'm looking for hard facts.
