  • I also used a £5 voucher from Tombola last year and because I clicked on an MSE link which gave me an extra 50p off they cancelled the order and I lost my £5 voucher.

Hang on, don't all cdwow vouchers come with a disclaimer stating "can not be combined with any other offer or promotion"(sic) sorry but you lost your £5 voucher because you tried this. It's a risk you take when you try to take advantage of an offer against T&Cs and as such i don't think you can blame CDwow for this.

The box set thing is terrible though, i had a problem like this before and a phone call to them sorted it out really quickly, plus they were really polite and apologetic on the phone. I think too many companies ignore email these days

Hope everyone else gets theirs too !

    Hello

We are pleased to be sending your £8.75 voucher as advertised in Time Out.

We would like to reassure you that this was a genuine promotion to readers of Time Out but as many of you know, it was abused.

Having been swamped with non-genuine applications due to postings on forums and newsgroups, we experienced a delay in sending your voucher. We have therefore extended the voucher redemption period by 1 week and so your £8.75 voucher will expire at midnight on Wednesday 22nd March 2006.

    Your unique E-Voucher Number:

To redeem your CD WOW! Voucher: xxxxxxxx

    1 Go to https://www.cd-wow.com

    2 Select your product(s)

3 Place the product(s) in your shopping cart

    4 Go to the checkout

5 Click on 'Redeem Gift Voucher'

6 Enter your unique e-voucher number in the e-voucher box and click 'GO'

7 Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your transaction

Please note you can only redeem one voucher per transaction via https://www.cd-wow.com

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

    Kind regards

I got my £8.75 - bought Stephen Chow's "King of Comedy" at £5.99, which is great as I've been meaning to get a hold of it for ages. Thanks heyho - and good luck to everybody else.

(When I got my email with the £3 vouchers, I wrote a brief reply saying I did buy that issue from my local Whistlestop in Sutton Surrey, and wasn't aware of the requirement to subscribe to the CDWow newsletter - seems to have worked!).

I applied when the offer was posted here and forgot about it. Not being much of a CD DVD buyer anyway it wasn't at the top of my mind. I couldn't remember the exact dates but was surprised I never heard anything. I have just found this thread - though over 60 pages I had to scan much of it.

Anyway , as Martin says there is no defintion of "reader" . It doesn't even say you have to be a subscriber or even have bought the issue. As with many offers that state "No purchase necessary" .
I live in London but when I do read Time Out , it is the copy in the local library. Would that exclude me from being a reader or not? How would CDwow prove either way. How would I prove either way?
