  • Don't know much about DMP's but thought that you could cancel your fee paying company and go with a free one at anytime? Worth looking into - why pay money to them when it could be going to paying off your debts?

I have made that move now and are waiting for my CCCS paperwork to come. We have tried moving before to payplan but there wasnt enough left at the time. I am waiting for this all to get set up then I have to give 2 weeks notice to GP.

    Good on you.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • I've just this second signed up for a DMP. I now have to go arrange a new bank account and cancel direct debits etc, so this will probably take some time. Once I have everything in place I will post my SOA and keep track of it while I'm on the DMP. Should be clear of everything in 3 years, woo hoo! I'm a happy bunny today :D

I need a little advise here. As I stated above I've signed up for a DMP. When I was talking to an advisor I asked her about my current payday loan and what happens with that as they take payment using my card details, not direct debit so this can't be cancelled. She then told me that my money would be in my new bank account anyway and to just let them try take the money. They can't have what's not there. The problem is obviously when the payment is declined they'll get in touch with me. They currently have my home number (which is in the process of being changed due to harrassing calls), my mobile number which I can easily ignore, unfortunately my work number and email. This is what I'm worried about, should I log onto my account with them and see if I can change these contact details? I can't give them my hotmail address because they don't accept it, who could i set up an account with temporarily?

I've just logged onto my account to check if I can change my details. I can change them but I have to send an email requesting they do so. So what I'm going to do is , leave my home number as it is as BT will be changing this. I have a pay as you go sim card somewhere in the house which I will find and use that number. The only trouble is my work email and phone number. I can change the email by setting up another account somewhere like google mail but don't know what to do about the number. Should I tell them I no longer work there or just try and ignore the calls?
